Quantum physics argues that there's really no matter and that everything is made up of energy. I didn't make up the theories, add anything to them, or conduct the studies, I've just read and watched a lot about it and it validates a lot of what I already believed.
No physicist that has made any advancements in the field of quantum mechanics has ever claimed that matter is made of energy. Can you please show me evidence of this
EDIT: I was wrong Max Planck has directly stated this, and Niels Bohr has alluded to it.

What powers the physical activity of the brain?

What leaves when the brain and subsequently the rest of the physical body ceases to function?

Even removing the religious/spiritual aspect from it there is an unseen energy powering the brain and the body. Labeling it electrical impulses or electricity doesn't make it any less amazing that an unseen energy powers the human brain/body.

Are we the body or the energy?
(1) The brain like the rest of the body is powered with the synthesis of ATP...This is the currency of human physiology...Without ATP, nothing happens (that requires energy)...

If you have a gene mutation that impairs your ability to synthesize ATP, you are going to die, and probably at a young age, because nature will not want you to have children and pass on that gene...Evolution...

Life essentially is a series of biochemical reactions and mixtures...Evolution selects the best combination of these reactions and mixtures, and life goes on..

(2) Nothing leaves the body when it ceases to function...I have been a situation where the hospital admitted a patient who suffered a massive heart attack...Her husband tried CPR for 20 minutes without effective...The EMS were eventually able to resuscitate her...

Unfortunately for this woman, the only activity left in her brain was the medulla oblongata...Brain scans revealed that there were no electrical activity in her frontal lobe...

Essentially, the only thing this woman was capable of doing were basic automatic functions...Her eyes would open, but you could tell there was no perception in them...They were not reactive to stimulus...She didn't even respond to painful stimuli...

The nurse would reposition her and she would not put up an resistance...She was alive but I guess "soulless" to put it in religious terms...

(3) We could have put a feeding tube in her stomach and kept her alive for 5 years or more...And she would be alive, but with no conscious perception of the world around her...

Basically, to use religious terms, she could classified as "soulless"...

(4) The point is conscious sensory perception is a function of the brain...If certain parts of the brain are damaged, a human can become figuratively speaking 'soulless' The body will keep performing autonomic functions until it starves itself to death...

The majority of the functions in your brain are happening without your control and conscious knowledge...

(5) The conscious' responsibility is to find sustenance, safety and sex for procreation...For animals with smaller brains, this is pretty straight forward...But we as humans being engage in more complex thoughts and behaviors...

Regardless of our complexities, our natural goals are pretty clear and simple...

(6) There is no "unseen energy" powering the brain...We know that it is ATP...Your brain takes up about 10 - 20% of all the glucose (simple sugar) you consume, because it needs it to use a lot of energy...

(7) Conclusion, like have already stated, on a macroscopic level, we are pretty clear about electron, proton and neutron activity and the forces that are involved in everyday life...

There are no "mystery particles" that are relevant when a human wakes up in the morning, takes a shower, eats breakfast and goes to work...We know how this happens...

Other than that if you google it you'll find plenty of evidence to support these theories. I understand that they are only theories, but they are in line with what I already believed so I will use it to support my beliefs, same way you can use other theories to support what you believe.

“Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another.” - Albert Einstein

Identifying and labelling ATP doesn't discredit what I said, that's only naming the energy powering the brain and the body, while also proving that there is a source of energy powering the brain/body and when the energy has left the brain and body, they cease to function. If Einstein's theory that energy cannot be created or destroyed is true, then we can logically assume that the body and the brain aren't creating this energy just harnessing it. So again I ask are we the body or the energy? I don't know the answer, but I believe we are the energy. In cliche spiritual terms I believe we are a spiritual being having a human experience, and not just a physical body.

That is the first law of thermodynamics, not Einstein's theories of special and general relativity

I didn't say it was his theory of special and general relativity, I've just seen it credited to him so I assumed it was a theory of his. The fact that it's the first law of thermodynamics only strengthens my case though.

(1) Energy powers everything...That is known and proven by science...It is not mysticism...

(2) On so many levels, you are wrong for saying "when the energy has left the brain and body, they cease to function"...The "energy" never leaves the body, the body loses its ability to produce ATP to sustain physiological functions, and then it dies...HUGE DIFFERENCE....

However, the body turns into energy for microscopic scavengers and etc...So, the carbon, hydrogren, oxygen, nitrogen and trace elements find their way back into the ecosystem...

The cycle of life Ecology 101...

(3) There are multiple sources of energy that we can use to stay alive...The sun, the energy we get in food and etc...These are all physical phenomenon that we understand VERY WELL...

The sun provides radiation energy...Plants have evolved to use this radiation energy and turn into biochemical energy that animals and other organisms can use when they consume plants...

Furthermore, certain microbes can use the nitrogen in the atmosphere and turn it into a form that plants and animals can use...That's were we get our nitrogen from...

That is were we are getting our energy from...It is NOT a mystical source that floats in mystical planes of existence we can't observe...

The sun gives light, plants turn into food, animals consume the food...If you die and you are burried in the earth (like we are ideally suppose to do) Microbes use your corpse as a source of energy, the plants reabsorb that nitrogen and it recycled back into the ecosystem...

We UNDERSTAND this...We been knowing this for MANY years now...No mystic...

(4) Once again, you are just a physical being using energy stored in food to stay alive...Once you lose the ability to do so, you die...It itself does not leave your body, because your body becomes energy for other forms of physical livings things when die...

The Cycle Of Life...Been understood for many years now...

Thats not what it argues. And you watching documentaries doesn't prove this.

I never said it wasn't understood, and I never said it was mysticism. I believe science and spirituality can co-exist. None of this discredits what I said about an energy source powering the body. Going by the first law of thermodynamics energy cannot be created or destroyed so the body isn't creating the energy it's just harnessing it. So there is an energy source separate from the body that powers it, and I believe that we may be that energy and not merely the physical body. Nothing you've said discredits that.

I didn't say it's proven, and yes there are scientists that argue this, and you not believing it or providing other theories doesn't disprove this.

So far you have given me quotes, not theories. I respect these people but I am not going to take their word as law just because. Einstein made mistakes. Not to mention that Einstein didn't make any major advancements in quantum mechanics. Even scientists have agendas sometimes. So do you know of any experiments that verify that fundamental particles are made of energy?

Burden of proof. You made a claim. Its wrong.

You just made a claim. Now the burden of proof is on you.

I'll leave this here again..

Not to mention that Einstein didn't make any major advancements in quantum mechanics. Even scientists have agendas sometimes. So do you know of any experiments that verify that fundamental particles are made of energy?

Physicist David Bohm, in his plasma experiments, at the Berkeley Radiation Laboratory, Bohm found that individual electrons act as part of an interconnected whole. In plasma, the gaseous electrons more or less assume the nature of a self-regulating organism, as if they were inherently intelligent.

This scientific discovery of Non-Locality, the wave/particle duality, meant that everything is joined or connected together. Space and time is composed of the same essence as matter. Bohm found this to be a conscious atomic sea and extending out from this sub-atomic reality, all of material creation may also be said to be conscious. Since all matter and events interact with each other, time (past, present, future) along with space and distance, all is relative to the observer and operate as one under the law of Non-Locality.

"A principle related to nonlocality is called Bell's Theorem. This is a quantum physics law that says that once connected, objects affect one another forever no matter where they are. Following the principle of Bell's Theorem...an invisible stream of energy will always connect any two objects that have been connected in any way in the past."

This meant that everything is connected to everything else and that physical reality is BOTH waves and a particles. This model birthed the "holographic universe" idea, the powerful conscious energy that the whole can invariably be found in the tiniest particles: an atom of a blade of grass to the most distance galaxies. The building blocks of atoms are merely, "parcels of compressed energy, packed and patterned according to certain mathematical formulae."

I don't take anyone's word as law, but if I provide you theories that go against what you believe you can say, "I'm not going to take their word as law" to anything. So what would you take as law considering everything in the world is just the creation or thought of another human being? Or do you only find science that you agree with and take that as law?

On top of what I just posted all we have are theories, I don't understand why some people treat science the way others treat religion and believe it as a whole to be infallible, when scientific theories are always expanded upon or disproved. What one generation takes as scientific fact will eventually be mocked.
