Why do people with kids get so mad when I say I don't want to have kids?

Which age group are we talking? I ask because there is sort of a stigma with having kids young. If the people in question had kids at a young age, they may feel your position is a personal attack against them. They could also believe you're attacking their children because of behavior problems. It's the same with anything that can be viewed in a negative light. Hell, people seem to get offended when I tell them I don't drink alcohol and never have, but nobody will get offended if you say "I don't like onions" because there's no stigma associated with it. It's the same with the LGBLTs; if you even question anything about the gay community, people think you're attacking them. For some reason, many people automatically think others have malicious intentions, and maybe that's just indicative of their own insecurities.

It's the opposite for me. People ask me if I have kids, I tell em nah, and praise me and wish they was me. I tell em I love kids, and I do, but man when you wake up and don't have that responsibility, or at the market and see how kids behave touching everything, wanting this and that and some parents can't afford it, so it bums kids out, and it makes you appreciate not having any a lot more while it last.
But more power to those parents, they work hard and make it possible for their kids, gotta put some respect on it. :gooodlawd:

I think it's great when people know what they want and don't want.
In fact, kids should ONLY be made by people who really want the long-term responsibility....
