Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
In many govt agencies, management changes with administrations. Ppl are hired in high positions not because they're qualified but bc they belong to the right party, or raised money etc. These ppl then want to get rid of professional staff so they can hire their friends, supporters etc. They'll do all the typical shyt managers do to try and force employees out (not assign work equally etc).

The one thing I'll say is that I agree with some limitations - for instance making it illegal for certain unions to authorize a strike. But beyond that there's no difference.

I honestly don't think that's the case, as a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure there's a law that protects staff from being fired for political purposes...I remember hearing something about Trump trying to break that law

You're wrong breh. Happens all the time.
There are definitely some politically appointed positions. But the minions that do the work don't get let go. The new heads just gotta deal with them. Hell, the Trump Administration was a perfect example of that. A lot of news was leaked by subordinates etc, because they don't get fired like that.

No offense, but fukk you man. As a child of government workers and a government worker myself the idea this is volunteer work is bullshyt.
its not volunteer work, but government workers arent special either. they can have a 401k like the rest of us

theres nothing honorable about unions extorting their local taxpayers :dead: as has been mentioned in here, they arent negotiating for a bigger cut of the CEOs salary. theyre negotiating to raise local property taxes to fund their retirements :hhh:

You almost sound like the Cac Mamba from the Obama years?:ohhh:

Also, I am not saying that unions can’t be exploitive, I just know a lack of unions means it’s a lot more likely the workers will be the ones exploited.

You just got to be smart about it and at the same time keep unions out of staff positions. Administrative unions by default will lead to unfavorable terms for tax payers because the administrators control budget allocation.

I wrote a paper on Philadelphia being bankrupted by unions because they gave themselves the sweetest deal I think in history. Nobody was there to stop them. No one was watching the watchers. Management was the union.

Flipside line workers (teachers, nurses, police, firefighters, etc) definitely need unions and just like regular workers in for profit companies. They should fight for their benefits. They provide a service and should be awarded based on the market. The staff should on the flip side do their best to limit benefits for a lower cost to the public. Where they two parties negotiation ends and they find acceptable terms, will have to be acceptable to the public who pays taxes to cover the cost.

How are they "extorting taxpayers?" Requesting higher wages for your work, is not "extortion." Considering how low teacher and social worker salaries are, precisely what is the issue?

The unions aren't "bankrupting" any state, I'm still confused by how this clearly absurd narrative was able to drill into common parlance. Especially since its a narrative that was created by right-wing think tanks :mjlol:

First stimulus 6 trillion dollars, 4 went to corporations. Why don't you jerkoffs worry about that piece of the pie.

Lol at fighting public unions. I love how when people get fukked they snitch on someone else hoping everyone gets fukked instead of fukking the one that fukked you in the first place. :unimpressed:

Edit: I just read cac mambas teacher parent quit the union. Bro this guy's a retard and an agent. :dead:
