you hit plateaus in lifting, whether it be size, strength, lowering your BF, etc. if lifting is something you're serious about, one might dabble in roids to push them to the next level. lifting can easily get boring once you get to a place where you're no longer making gains. some people are fine with this and focus on maintaining, others seek that thrill that usually happens year ~1-2, those gains and changes are much further apart and harder to achieve the longer you've been active, roids can provide that boost
