Why do Republicans feel so strongly about abortion?

*HOWEVER*, many "pro-lifers" aren't really "pro-life" for a person's entire life...you can't fight so passionately for the unborn and then say "screw 'em" once they're born.

Many conservatives do use this position to have moral high ground over women who have made mistakes and have to make tough choices for their individual situations.

I don't agree with it, and if a woman asked me about it at any stage of her pregnancy I would try to talk her out of it, but the law allows it so you do what you want. :yeshrug:
Agreed
see to me this is where the hypocrisy really lies.

I get that Conservatives have different values and shyt, but you can't say you care about babies and then say "they aren't my problem" when they are born.

Everybody has strong opinions when it comes to abortion. I really don't care if women want destroy their insides and murder their children, most of them are unfit to be mothers and if more of them practiced this right they claimed to fight so hard for there would be less dead weight taking up space. My real concern is the fact men have 0 reproduction rights and the only options we have is ether being forced to be fathers or thrown into a jail cell. If women have options to escape their responsibilities as a parent than men should have the same exact ability without being punished for it.

That's arguable, a potential life is not a life. It's a literal parasite in scientific terms. Do you consider an egg a chicken too?
the argument comes down to when it is determined life or not.

If a baby can survive out of the womb that should be the cut-off time(about 22 weeks) anytime after that shouldn't be legal at all except in cases where it could lead to harm from the mother or they find something wrong with the baby.

I agree with this

if you take the egg and break it will a chicken come out?...
degenerates kill babies in the womb its that simple

At a certain point, yes. Just as a women having an abortion a few weeks in, it is still a fetus at that point unable to survive on its own, hence a parasite.

I see it completely fair to make a cutoff for abortion at about 20-22 weeks.

if the woman hasn't decided to abort the baby after 5 months then she probably shouldn't be aborting the baby.
