Why do so many male posters here fantasize about beating women?

After reading through that post about the female presenting Dollar Tree employee pushing that man several times before squeezing him, I was taken aback by the number of posters who used that unfortunate situation as an open call to basically type up fantasies in which they'd curb stomp a woman into oblivion. I could barely make it through that post without shedding a few tears as a shiver of fear made its way up my spine. Was I peering into the mindset of your average man who wants nothing more than to cause a woman bodily harm?! I managed to get up from my computer and stumble into my bathroom to throw water on my face and try and bring myself out of this sick suspicion. I really hope this isn't the case--that men look for scenarios that justify beating women. I really hope this is just an internet phenomenon. Once back at my computer, I closed the tab on that nightmare of a post and tried to console myself. The next few hours would be spent reflecting on that post and what I, as a man, may have contributed to this society that would allow such a dialog to happen in the first place. Having done some reflecting, I now create this post to offer an opportunity, to the misguided, to help me understand their toxic mindsets. So, please, help me understand why so many of you get off on the idea of being able to power-bomb a woman into a wall and using random scenarios to justify such hatred. As I continue to nurture my fragile mental health, in the days following the treacherous Amber Heard verdict, I would really appreciate some clarification so that I can finally achieve some level of peace within me. Please. Help me understand.

It's the same as Liam Nesson fantasizing about beating up a black person.

People feel slighted and then stereotype everyone else as being the bad apples. It's human nature but yall really need to talk to a therapist to think more positively about the world. No one wants to kick it with a bitter dude.

Thank you. The Liam Nelson example really drives the point home. Its almost like people here hope that they end up in a situation where they are “forced” to “protect” themselves which is really just a justification for them wanting to beat women. People were so excited in that other post to let it be known what they’d do if they were in that guys position. Its so similar, in tone, to their sexual fantasies, but with violence instead. Very disturbing.

OP,

When/if a member offends you with a comment that you deem indefensible, just use the IGNORE button.
I would have had to put nearly every poster, in that post, on ignore. Truly disgusting.
A lot of men use the internet to express their frustrations with women. Kevin samuels was able to take advantage of this. He was able to say things a lot of these males are terrified to say.
Literally that part!! Yes!! KS was their misogynistic muse from which they gained a sense of power and purpose. When he died, so too did their collective reason for being. Truly pathetic!!
