Wilson is a Republican so I don't care about his opinion on Bernie. These are mainly Hillary voters who have PTSD from 2016 and need someone to blame so Bernie is a natural target since he ran against her and didn't quit.
This is the full answer. It's the entire answer you need.
Also, I think this also explains it
Hmmm...I think some of this is more narrative than truth.
"Older Dem voters despise intraparty conflict and see themselves as personally left-wing while voting against left-wingers."
- True
"Even today lots of Democratic voters just do not believe you when you say Obama's policy was to have a foreclosure wave and not prosecute top Wall Street bankers. It's not that they disagree, they just cannot even imagine it."
- True
"Democrats, and I mean voters as well as leaders, seem to want performative wokeness, not justice. There has to be a major rebellion for this to change, but the grassroots is just as in thrall to the status quo as anyone else."
- True
"Democratic primary voters do not like Democratic candidates who seek to wield power."
- Bullshyt. Democratic candidates love to wield power as much as any politician. They just seek to wield power to seek THEIR objectives. Which may not be the objectives they're stating or that their poor, black, or liberal constituents want.
It's like right-wing fools who are always calling Republican presidents weak cause they won't go after illegal immigration or whatever. It's not that they are weak, it's that they don't give a shyt. Their strength comes out in force when it comes to passing tax cuts or pushing through judges. Politicians on both sides always stand up for what they care about. They just don't care about the same things that you and I care about.
And the same goes for most white moderate dems, older dems, elite dems, etc.
"Democratic primary challengers nearly always fail. It's not just money, Democratic primary voters do not want change. They really don't. They love to play the powerless victim and that's who they elect."
The "powerless victim" thing is a dumb narrative to me. They don't want change, but it has nothing to do with "playing the powerless victim". It's about legitimately preferring the status quo because a lot of those dems are ALREADY the ones in power in this society and don't want to change that.
