black middle class is the hood too, with somewhat impoverished families sprinkled around, and youre a few minute drive away from a bad neighborhood, or possibly around the corner from one.

but yea, that's the way to go, until the middle class hood eventually goes downhill too.

What if ur city doesnt have a black middle class .

where u from?

White suburbs are boring as fukk, but I imagine when a family lives in a DANGEROUS hood (emphasizing because not all hoods are) I doubt they're thinking too thoroughly about where they moving to as long as its safer. And more often than not, white suburbs have that stigma of being safer

So much wrong in one post.

You really said buying in the city cheaper than the suburbs.

Then you said if you mind ya business nothing won't happen to ya but there's so many people walking round with battle scars and wounds from stray bullets and beefs they weren't apart of.

Have your kids traumatize by mentally unstable people who don't know how to act.

where u from?[/QUOTE]

From DC originally and moved to Miami. And before u ask partna, I lived in PG county right outside dc too and it had a black middle class. It had some of the highest taxes in the state. And parts of PG County are just middle class hoods since they moved dudes from DC out. If u had stayed in those hoods or bought a spot for 100k it would be worth way more once gentrification time happens.

Buying in the inner city is cheaper than the suburbs.

Idk how New Orleans works but in east coast cities the hood is usually in the inner city close to alot of ammenities.

Kids was already addressed. Magnet school. But then again this is for people without kids. If u have kids then I understand.

Maybe the NO is just super bad but I lived in southeast DC for years and I never caught a stray. What hoods yall be where its cracking 24/7? Maybe I shoulda took into account every hood cuz some are hotter than others.

Pretty much breh, If ur hood aint super hot then why leave?

If its DANGEROUS then i understand but not every hood is a shooting gallery

Im not feeling that someone can drop a Organic grocery store and a starbucks and jt will change over night when those who lived there coulda owned their living spaces and build it up. Js.

Why do some people think staying in poverty is "real" or something people should want?
This is strange as hell.
It aint about being real its about building up the community

Why should u move out the hood so they can gentrify the same place u lived and it cost 500k$ more than what u could have paid to own it for before u moved. Inner city hoods are prime real estate but I guess its only seen as such when whites validate it.

NOLA is a hell hole.

I swear this place is unpredictable. And yes some b*stards tried to rob me two weeks ago.

I don't have kids and the school system is so shytty even the private school are questionable. Smh

Orleans Parish is a rip off. Taxes are super high. I know taxes in general at 10% and literally this places provides NOTHING to warrant taxes that high.

They are gentrifying like crazy. I did see a house for 30,000. (Shotgun/double at that). Hell if I wasn't tryna get my debt out the way I woulda have brought then renovated by adding 100,000 plus into it and watch that baby become 3x more valuable for under 200,000.

Anyway, NOLA is a very tough city. I live in the heart of the city but I'll probably move a little further out after what I've been through these last 3 years with people.

There isn't a community if people who live there don't want to be there is there?
You asking why people move away from places they don't want to be at in the first place and it makes no sense.
