Especially at this late date.

People out here are actually arguing about how fly trap music is?:mjlol:

Enough of this grown crack baby schitt. 90% of rap is absolutely garbage. It had its run and fizzled out years ago.

And no hip hop not a culture.
It WAS a subculture but ultimately that aspect was mostly a new york thing.

Niiggas need to come realize how they look in the eyes of the world by taking this nonsense so serious.
How is hip hop not a culture? Where do you think the influence of how we walk, talk, and dress come from? And how has the run ended? If that's how you feel than all black music period has fizzled out. Most popular R&B IS hip hop. You even got gospel rappers

OP you are better than this

Hip-hop is a SUBCULTURE. It is not the dominant culture in this land.

For the same reason they play certain types of music in the Gym.
There's music that resonates with you.
Music that can motivate you to go outside of your comfort zone.
Music that reactivates that passion inside of you.

People take it seriously to fit in. They think that's how the people they desperately want to emulate are. Individualism isn't valued much in the rap scene and the county as a whole. If people weren't afraid to be themselves they wouldn't feel the need to emulate others
