Why do some black people praise Cheesecake Factory as if it's 5 star?

I think back in the day it was presented as this formal setting high priced eatery that the casual guest could go to as something fancy cause of the prices being slightly up and its menu being "diverse". In reality its expensive for having large portions (Although being out of the States and never going to one when I visit, I dont know if the ones you have there are that expensive or the large portions of food aren't considered just average)

So I guess it was perceived fancy at one time

You live in NY. you can go to the Boil, multiple great spots on city island among dozens of spots for EXCELLENT Sea Food for the same price as red lobster. red fukking lobster? fam.....

My girl never wants to wait for the boil..ive been trying to go since last summer..might have to take one of these summer fridays and go for dolo..heard many great things about that place

CONSISTANTLY, and I've been there 5 or 6 times. Go for the King Crab, skip the snow crab. The Cajun wings are Fuego too. So is the Mac n cheese.They tell you an hour wait and it be like 25 mins for 2, tell us girl fukk THAT WE GOIN.

Actually, at least the one I go to in Wayne, has pretty good food, but for a lot of people it's good food at a reasonable price, it's a step up from Applebees, Fridays, but not as nice as a Ramsey or Ruth Chris.

I hate to see people front so much. lil perk of my job is n expense budget and I've entertained at some of the finest and expensive spots in the city. Ive had some amazing meals and tried a bunch of exotic ish but I'm not gonna shyt on cheese cake factory. I've been a handful of times and ive never had a bad meal.

And $120 for 2 there sounds about right. Apps, drinks ,desserts. I can tell some of yall frontin heavy and trying way too hard.

Bonefish grill is slowly but surely becoming another Cheesecake factory..I went there with the same mentality the first time.

Me & my girl were in Mobile not too long ago for a relatives graduation & so we ate at Bonefish on our way out of town.
We're leaving and a car pulls up directly next to us.
A white family of four hops out of the car decked out like they're going to a world premiere.
The mom does a double take at one of kids and starts tripping.
She demands her son get back in the car because his dress shirt wasn't up to snuff.
She grabs the keys from her husband and declares they're driving 20 minutes back home so he can change.
