I'm usually not the first one to pull out the "race card" but I can't help but feel like there's a element to it. "If we can't keep these nikkas from dominating our sports, they damn sure can't show that they're proud of it". I just think white people have a very small comfort zone when it comes to black people, so no loud nikkas who take space are wanted. You can play, but it have to be on their terms. I think it's the same as when they want to ban sagging your pants, whether or not you agree with what others do, there is something sick about feeling the need to micro manage people's behaviour in a way that makes you feel comfortable. No sensitivity to the fact that the culutre of the players who dominate the sport is typically more expressive. The status quo is very comforable for whites, and they'll do anything they can to keep it that way -that's the only way they can remain in controll when they can't play like us. I don't think they're making conscious racist decisions, but their subconscious insecurities effect the decisions they make

As for me, I think they're killing the NFL. Part of what got me into it was characters like Chad Johnson, before he smashed his wife's head in. Now they want to turn the NFL into faceless machines carrying out tasks.

Just different cultures. I used to work in an office with nothing but mostly white men. I remember a few times they told me they were going to be playing spades or hearts. I'd go to where they was playing at asking when they starting. Was shocked when they told me they were in the middle of a game considering nobody was talking, no smart ass remarks, or anything. Just at the end of the hand counting up books and passing the cards. I'm used to my people where it's non-stop shyt talking.

One was a close friend and 100% about that straight serious tip when it came to any type of competition. I'd play ball or video games with him and get to talking my shyt and he'd complain talking about "why can't you just play the game and leave it at that". For some the fun is in the competition in itself and for others the fun is in the midst of the shyt talking and showing off while competing. I'm definitely the latter.
