Athletes work hard, so they should be allowed to be joyful when they achieve something great. And if you don't want to look bad, don't lose, or don't compete.

My grandfather gets heated when players start celebrating regardless of race. But in general he's not really a fun person, always serious all the time so it isn't too shocking.

Other oldheads I know will kind of get annoyed when players celebrate while they're losing, but other than that it's general indifference
