I think it's because cac Americans are historically blue collar Anglos and to them sports represents a contradiction: work AND fun. Although I respect cac Anglos' strong work ethic and attitude, I'm not against game celebration.

Age and cultural differences. Nobodies right or wrong it's all personal preference

I won't even say it's just a white culture thing it's partly a generational thing too. Older dudes are more prone to be turned off by celebration then young guys

I think it is wrong and hurtful to punish people or to advocate punishmet for celebrating. If it's only personal preference, people should shut up and bear the fact others don't share the same opinion as them.

Sports in the US is very business like actually. It has its good and its bad things. It is a bit annoying that ESPN runs all these crazy stats but US and a lot of people around the world eat it up.
