They're scary because they fear you can see straight through them...don't get me wrong there's some solid white people on the workplace that I fukks with. But you're right for the most part they be on some fake bullshyt.

That's why a job should be a step towards a career. No one can take your career away.
Are you saying.

Use the job for experience and your overall career because you can always bounce and work somewhere else?

I had this white dude call me boy in my face like twice. It took all the life in me not to punch this man's teeth to the back of his throat.

It's not wise to make confrontations in the workplace.

You have to play the game to win, @theflyest and @Demetrius . Just focus on playing the game to win.

Nah..I was talking to one of the OG's at my company, this is a fortune 100 and he's at the VP level, one of the most respected cats anywhere. He told me straight up you can not and should not take shyt from these cacs, and he's faced a lot worse than being called boy. You pull that man to the side and tell him he disrespects you like that again you'll put your foot square up his ass and see if he calls you boy again. Im officially out the corporate game in another month, ya'll can have it.

I'm saying a job and a career aren't the same thing...Best Buy is JOB, Regional Manager or VP of Marketing of Best Buy is a CAREER...a job should be paying for your education or offering work experience towards your career.

White folks believe in making a career move within the smallest companies, whether you live on the east coast in major cities like New York, or in the south, or midwest...there's always a white man that's slithering through the company's workforce wrapping himself around the neck of black employees ready to cut his circulation of at a moments notice.

I know I'm gonna get slack for saying this, but white men have black men beat when it comes to sociopath work relationships, they're experts at surfacing the servility in most black men...

I've noticed this as a gender type of thing. Work with the dudes and sure we may screw around a bit but at the end of the day things get done. No drama, extra politics or bs like that. Just work do the job and get paid at the end of the week. There's some foolish dudes that may come late all the time or always want to screw around, but just cut those guys off.

When you work with the ladies though, all sorts of variables are added. Generally more work gets done, but with all the extra nonsense added. Gossiping, fake shyt. I mean come on I'm just here to work. Of course you do have the ladies that are cool as shyt, and just make the workplace much better atmosphere all around. But damn, some of the ladies I was working with made the day so much longer.

Also if you don't talk much, you are instantly hated for some reason. Like when I started working I was only there with the intention of working hard and getting paid at the end of the day, I don't care for the bs, and quite frankly I dont have time for it. People generally didn't like me though because I was too quiet and what not. I learned to be very careful in the workplace, cause it's filled with snakes.

You have people that have their entire lives centered around work and people which think of work just as another aspect of their lives.

but yeah, you gotta check people EARLY so they don't get shyt twisted. this goes for colleges, friends, chicks, anyone.

I did the exact same thing, man to man talk. I point blank asked dude if he wanted to get fired :what:
He was like what's the big deal:yeshrug:
I sat him down and told dude don't ever come at me like that again. Explained to him that I know my history and don't try to play me weak like im funny style.
Then he started copping pleas :stopitslime:
