Every job you'll ever have turns back into kids at school in the end, the stakes just get higher.
It's in your best interest, regardless of color, to work on your emotional intelligence in my opinion. If you can better understand the actions and emotions of others and why they act or do things the way they do, you can figure out a path pretty quickly.
In some cases, that's maneuvering to keep your job, move up in that company or move on to another job all together. My last company was Dutch owned, with dudes from Italy, Mexico, India etc all mixed in various management roles and business units....the company before that was Japanese owned with a huge office in the UK. I have seen it all from every sex, race, nationality etc lmao. You think you have it bad, trying being a woman working for the Japanese, lol! Those dudes are ruthless. The scorn, the disdain....I've witnessed them ask that the women be taken out of our meetings because they speak too much.
