But, I really think it has to do with those young ones being raised without a father in their lives and households.

Which goes back to the importance of Black men being present in their daughters lives.

If a woman was raised by a Single mom -- who was also a raised by a Single mom -- the no-father/unstable cycle continues.

That leads to a daughter who will look for love and validation in any man who has a penis and shows her any type of attention.

Having no father definitely makes it worse, but Ive seen women fall victim to it from two parent households. There are LOADS of girls from the suburbs with hood dudes or fancy them. Or have a square man but cheat on the side w a hood dude/vagrant/hoodlum.

Its just part of a womans nature to be emotionally stimulated and not be “bored”. Unfortunately most men I see are extreme ends of the spectrum hypermasculine/over emotional or feminine/soft/square.

Unfortunately the true art of manhood without degeneracy is lost on most young men, so they become hypermasculine to overcompensate. Its like no one told them u can be a man without having to pop off at every at any and everybody lol

This explanation might have made sense in the 90s when you had to be thorough physically and mentally to be in the streets, but look at most of the dudes who are considered “thugs” nowadays.

Most of them aren’t physically dominant at all. Being a thug these days is basically a fashion statement. You got suburban kids talking about they a Blood or a Crip because it looks cool and goofy broads going for it.

I am a woman - and I don't like "thugs."

I like/love grown ass Black men and I have only dated grown ass Black men. And I can say that all of my friends have done the same. I personally don't even know or have ever known any "thugs."

This myth has to die.

When I think of "thug" -- I think of abusive (mentally and/or physically) man-child who is unstable, irresponsible and involved in shady and illegal activities.

No woman in her right mind would want to be with a man like that. If one does - it's some daddy issues and self-love issues present that need to be worked out.

The question that really needs to be asked and addressed is why do some men aspire to be or act like a "thug?" (whatever that means).

A lot of them start off by thinking it impresses the girls.

Woman are attracted to dominant traits like where someone bleeds confidence and takes control etc. it just so happens that “bad” boys most often portray these traits in more abundance than the nice guys. It’s part of the challenge of taming the unpredictable. It’s the thrill of the chase. Nice guys are safe and that can be boring when you know what to expect. No one wants a doormat as women usually have a lot of those by default.

When some street cats/thugs I grew up with are the most emotional men I ever met in my life especially the fatherless ones. Wanna fight/pop off at the slightest perception of disrespect. Like little chihuahuas on crack. These cats are the DEFINITION of emotional.

I consider myself emotional and it keeps alotta women on a rollercoaster. I can be stoic one day then emotional and women stick around to see what Ima be the next day

Lol this is really so true, based on experience, the street “men” I knew were overly emotional, hot headed, and always ready to fight over stupid shyt. Always with the dramatics.

I can’t stand overly emotional men either. I can’t even explain how much of a turn off it is. But then again im not an emotional person, so to each their own. I always thought females that grew up in similar environments as thugs seemed over emotional too.

My mom was like that(growing up in that type of environment) so she was always ready to fight someone, even as an adult, and she could go from being cold as fukk, to many different emotions at the drop. A lot of the females I’ve met from those environments are like that too.

So in other words, I’m guessing that the females that like thugs, probably are extra with their emotions and tempers too. They probably don’t even see those behaviors as “emotional” either.

I think women just like the image of what someone is than the reality of who they truly are.

What did that one dude in the AMA say @KyokushinKarateka , that as soon as he started running the streets and wearing durags the bytches were on him like white on rice even though his personality didn't change 1 iota. That's pretty consistent with what I see.

They would rather you be fake and conform to their societal ideals, than do the work to understand who you truly are as a person.

I been with a lot of females in my life that didn't like thugs.

A few of them were attracted to thugs and I never gotten the appeal.

What makes a thug so special anyways? I done been around a lot of dudes who claimed they were thugs, and majority of them were some old emotional ass bytches.

And not to mention, they lowkey gay as fukk.
