I'm sorry, but this shyt is becoming disrespectful

We had a thread on here last week on your hiphop Mount rushmore http://www.the-coli.com/booth/24653-who-goes-your-rap-mt-rushmore.html Not only did yall not have Jay Z first, some of yall didn't have Jay Z at all. Explain yourselves? Who has done more with rap than Jay Z? Not having Jay on a Mt Rushmore is like not having Jordan on one.

nikkas talking about Jay Z fell off like those verses on WTT were not lyrical master pieces?

Just on some rap shyt you dont think Jay z can't drop an album full of "Grammy Family verse" then you are kidding yourselves.

Jay Z has more responsibility then these other rappers. Every year since 96 Jay z has been dropping albums that have at least 1 major hit record on them?

Nas, Wu tang, Scarface doesn't have to put record labels on his back. They dont have the pressure to make ESOM, nikkas in Paris, Otis, Run this Town every single album and deliver every time. Along with that he is lyrically murdering every single verse

No other rapper can perform 2 hours at a concert and actually have hit records that doesnt and have fans naming numerous songs that he forgot to do that would have made the roof pop off the building.

Who else in rap is writing 16s while running 16 businesses?

"In couple years, nikka Im going to bring you some nets" Come on Coli, Jay Z is what every rapper aspires to be.

When the nikkas say he is "Hova" he has his reasons.

shyt is not fair, Jay is literally on another planet from all these nikkas and he's knows it.

Let's not act like Jay-z doesn't have the same problem as Eminem. He's very skilled, popular and hugely succesful, but as far as the music goes: the content often lacks substance compared to other rappers. The content of his lyrics is just very limited and uncreative and gets repetitive and boring quickly. And before people start defending that sh*t: do you listen the music or just skim through it? The Black Album, though lyrical, is completely boring outside of maybe 99 Problems & Threat and people dare call that sh*t a classic.

There's only so many songs of megalomania I can tolerate on one album and when you get your mother to start telling the story of your birth like it is some mythical tale I just :why: and lose my interest. The tragic thing about Jay-z is that if he hadn't been so concerned with making people think he is the best and instead had just focused on the content of his music, he would have had a much better catalogue of meaningful songs and would have genuinely been considered as great as he thinks he is now. Now, he's just a letdown though.
That's his main influence on the new generation too. People are already considering what their legacy will be like to the rap community and start propagating their greatness on their debut album a la Game. F*ck part of the game is that? How can an album be hot if the underlying theme of your album is that the album will be considered hot? On some meta-communication bs.. :shaq2:

The Jay-Z hate is strong for on this forum for some reason. I still think he's releasing quality music but it is time to switch the flow up again.

See where you fukked up at is trying to talk down on other dudes to prop up Jay. Isn't that why you made this thread? Isn't that the problem? Yet you go and compare him to Nas and Scarface to make Jay seem better in comparison. Why can't you nikkas explain why someone is good and deserves respect without trying to criticize the accomplishments of others.

this.

stans be doing this for every rapper :beli:

that shyt is lame as fukk!

If you have to take 3 or so songs off of an album just to make it to a 4 mic level, then you know it's average/below average.

3 - 5 songs out of a 15 track album? thats average to you? :russ:

Can only speak for myself but while i put Jay on my fictional Mt. Rapmore list, i can see y some wouldn't. There's no way Nas Pac Big wouldn't make it, but for some people (especially older cats) Krs Rakim Kool G Kane Cube among others deserve a spot too. That's y i woudn't care if they didnt put Jay or even Big (but Nas and Pac most definitely would be there) on there. U know it is actually some people who don't think Jay-Z is the g.o.at. Just because a man tells u this enough times over the years doesn't make it necessarily true. And in the back of my head i still wonder sometimes if BIG and Pac didn't die would Jay had even got the chance to blow the way he did. Let;s not act like he ain't capitalize of BIG too. With the stories of they was best friends as well as biting his lyrics over the years.

it's already been discussed several times, this argument is dumb as fukk. Jay was gonna blow no matter what.

only in hiphop, nikkas act like 2 or 3 top rappers can't co exist.

biggie and Jay may have some similarities on the subject matter but they don't have the same sound at all. :yeshrug:

BP3 is probably the worst album made by a nikka that is in evrybody top ten

Yeah..... like Nastradamus never happened :childplease:

you could apply this to every rapper that have been in the game for 10 years at least.

with that said, OP take your damn cape off and stop actin like these other stans over here.
you making us jay fans look bad :manny:

It took me awhile to realize that the OP is trolling...At first I thought he was a legit Warrior.. Most of the real Stans probably figured out that he is mocking them, which explains their absence from threads like this..

If there were a mount rushmore (with no number restrictions) of Hip Hop Jay would have his place on it definetly, along with others such as 2 Pac, Biggie, Nas, KRS-One, Rakim, Big Pun, Big Daddy Kane, Chuck D, Melle Mel, Run DMC, Lauryn Hill, Queen Latifah, Will Smith, Kool Herc, Afrika Bambata, Grandmaster Flash, DJ Premier, Dr Dre, Eazy E, Scarface, Slick Rick etc.

kindly direct me to these lyrical masterpieces on wtt?? :russ: maybe i did miss them cause that shyt had me

I respect Jay for being able to remain relevent after all these years. I def think he is one of the better mainstream rappers we have. Kanye is a better rapper than him though and thats not saying much. I can see why Jay was hesitant to fukk wit him cause the nicca outshines him on almost every song.

I do wish people would stop hyping Jay up to be some business savvy genius dude has one too many failed business ventures for that title. Who still wears Rocawear? Sdots? Ace of Spades is disgusting and only flashy hoodrats who dont know any better drink it. Yes he's reportedly worth half a billi, if you were a senior citizen who had been selling platinum records for half your life you would be rich too.

Again im not trying to take away from the fact that Jay has talent, but he is grossly overrated. Much like his wife.
