Isaa is insecure and does not have her look together at all.
If she did, she would be viewed as being as attractive as she is.

Her internal issues with herself makes her appear that her look is down. You can look on tv and see she views herself as her wins being low.

That is why the character works.
S I mply because the person portraying it. Wears their low self esteem on their shirt. That it actually lowers her looks and sex appeal/attractiveness.
It is the kinda grassroots unsure beauty of issa that makes the show go.
It would not work if she was sexually and visually secure with herself/image.
