Why do you hate Kobe Bryant?

Besides the fact that his game is 99 % a copy of Jordans, I dont like Kobe mainly because he's a horrible teammate and he's selfish player overall. Just because your the best player on a team doesn't mean you can treat everyone else any way you want.

But I love his game and respect his work ethic and will to win

When I bring up his attempts, it's not just because of longevity. He takes a lot of questionable shots and it's a part of his game as a volume scorer.

The problem I have is that he routinely comes up in comparisons with LeBron and Jordan, when he is much closer to Clyde Drexler and Dwyane Wade. The circumstances around him have altered and elevated his perception.

He spent the first half of the season trying to play Kobeball and imposing himself on the world and it got to point that even he couldn't deny those espn stats like "Lakers are 1-17 when Kobe takes more than 20 shots" and "Lakers are 18-4 when Kobe has at least 6 assists" stats.

With all of the L's, he wasn't getting the praise he was hoping for and he realized missing the playoffs with this much talent wouldn't be a good look so he gave up on his quest for the scoring title and started playing a little smarter. I'm guessing that once they make the playoffs, he'll push the reset button and go out shooting 30+ times in the playoffs until they get knocked out.
