Why do you hate Swizz Beatz?

nikkas hate him cause 9/10 he ruins his placement(s) on a album with his own hooks being plugged in

He ain't on the level of the nikkas in that "One Gotta Go" meme from the other day but if he shut up and let rappers and hookmakers have the whole beat people can't talk shyt about him cause he can make bangers

When I think swizz I immediately hear bells and whistles, let's not even mention his horrible vocals... Just frantic noise. He has permanently etched fear into my ears.

He was always wack but he'll have a gem here and there. He's better when it comes to sampling than making his own shyt on that fukking casio. He had a shyt load of wack beats that I will never understand how folks were all getting geeked out at that shyt.


I remember when Pete rock put him on blast in a XXL mag back then for his wack ass beats and bragging about producing that shyt in 15 minutes. I was happy because I thought I was the only person that wasnt feeling that dude. I think between him and the Neptunes literally watered down the beats and production in the 2000 period. It was really bad.

With the exception of like 5 beats. DMX carried that entire album because almost all those beats from swizz were garbage. DMX literally had to show his skills off to shine on swizz trash to balance that shyt out. Would not want to hear an instrumental album for fofbomb.

When exactly did this start? I came to this site thinking Swizz ranks high among all time producers and still feel that way. He can be annoying with his ad libs but I think he is an all time great. Everytime a Swizz track is mentioned on the internet it gets these reactions




Ruff Ryders/ solo DMX era he was flawless
2000s he made bangers
2010s he's been meh

Give some examples and when did you begin to hate him and his beats. I don't get it

X's first album was mainly Dame Grease if I remember correctly his best LP by miles, I'll admit that Swizz has legit bangers but he's most of the time, his stuff doesn't hold up well.

He deserves his props though, he did his thing for for the most part.

Swizz has made lots of great beats. He's not Timbo/RZA/Premo tier by a long shot, but he'll eat Kanye's food. This much I know.

Dude has a better production discography than a lot of the overrated cats y'all stan.

The only beats that I can stand from him are his work with DMX and the LOX. Seeing as DMX was one of the first emcees I really became a fan of, I have a soft spot for those beats. His work with TI around '04 was cool too but nothing outstanding.
