Depends what part of downtown you're talking about. If you're going to Underground Atlanta/Five Points looking for the time of your life, yea you might be disappointed. But if you go to the Aquarium/Centennial Olympic Park or a game you might have a more exciting time. There's beer, music and food festivals happening almost every week. It's the summer so you've got concerts coming up. Day & rooftop parties are popping every weekend...so yea we don't have South Beach or Coconut Grove, but we got Buckhead, Atlantic Station, West Midtown it's a TON of shyt going on. Atlanta Jazz Festival just happened, Sweet Auburn Festival was a couple weeks ago, you can't live here and say there ain't shyt to do, it's not possible

stop stalking me u fakkit. handing out your weak negs randomly. Ol' crusty dark ass ashy nikka

because its a loser franchise

they've never won anything
they have no legendary moments
they have no conference finals appearances
they have no titles
they have no great coaches
they have one great player

why would you subject yourself to a team with decades and decades of failure to average performance? Can't you do better in any market? The Houston Rockets make the Atlanta Hawks look like the Boston Celtics.
dos you mean Hawks make the rockets look like the Celtics? Otherwise this makes no sense

no big name free agents are joining atlanta because they dont have a main piece that you could build around. They want to join other star players and making these superteams. So big name free agents are not interested in those places like atlanta. They need to rebuild and draft their potential superstar, it's been 10 years of atlanta making it to playoffs, no star was joining joe johnson and no star joined that 60 win hawks team from a few years ago.

Garbage fan base. 5 seed that was 26th in attendance :mjlol:
They're always an average team without any big stars. No superstar is dying to come play with Milsap and Schroeder. They need to hit the reset, draft a star, and go from there. They've been stuck in limbo, the realm of mediocrity, forever. You'll never break the cycle, just blow it up.

How is it a garbage fanbase? :dwillhuh:

You goin strictly off of attendance numbers to make a judgement about the quality of fans? :dwillhuh:

There hasn't been an ownership group here focused on winning that can attract top free agents. Yea this is a great city with beautiful women and lots of opportunity, but the team's ownership hasn't been truly committed to winning a championship. That's the real reason

I'm talking about across decades. Nique didn't get the love he deserved. If he had been in a bigger market, dude would've been in movies and shyt.

Nique is more loved now than he was in ha playing days, but don't mistake it, he was definitely royalty here during his playing days....

The thing is that Atlanta has a very weird relationship with its sports figures. There's not a whole lot of "pride"'attached to whether the teams win or lose. Think about Mick Vick. He was the Toast Of The Town here and when he got into the dog fighting situation the city didn't really step up in his defense. If that were Brady in New England he would've been defended to high heaven by the city.

The Hawks have been a perennial playoff team for years and the city just doesn't really care

nikka nobody shows up to the games. That's a shytty fanbase. We had way better attendance here in Philly and we're both ass and trying to lose. Atlanta was actually a good team that wanted to win.

A good fanbase shows up at the games if their team is a goddamn 5 seed.
