It's a messy drug.

Too much of it will have you walking around with your eyes big as dinner plates, and ducking out every 30 minutes to find somewhere to take a bump, cause the high tends to go down with increased usage.

Depending on what it's cut with you might get the shyts (baby laxative), smell like a mechanic and develop the bladder of a senior citizen... I could go on

I can tell you as an oldhead, growing up in the 80s after all the BS around Len Bias' death, cocaine had a real bad stigma with kids raised thinking one hit will kill you. I'm surprised crack took off in the 80s because of how coke was seen. Yeah, lots of adults were using it, but kids growing up in that era had a whole different perspective (because of all the anti-drug education).

Fast forward 10 years and you got all those "tortured artist" white bands ODing on heroine and getting that "martyr for music" badge, so other drugs were seen more favorably
