getting a little lap dog is historically what elderly women did for companionship after their husband died. now 75% of women of any age are in spiritual menopause. just dried up no hope for real love left but need something to fuss over
EVERYfukkingbody has dogs now tho. and they be lying that they are emotional support animals so they can get inside apartments. or lying and saying their pitbull is a “lab mix” to get around breed restrictions. and their cars be nasty as fukk on the inside. and the list goes on…all to have the equivalent of a perpetual small child that can never grow up and wipe its own azz. why???
i can’t figure out the logic behind it

But they don’t really want the responsibility of dog either. I seen it happen so many times. They get a dog then get annoyed that they actually have to take care of it. Yeah Fifi is cute but she also poops a ton and requires you to take her for walks, even in the freezing cold.
A bunch of my homegirls regret it and are always trying to pawn their pets off on their parents so they can’t get their freedom back and be able to do shyt like travel and take girl trips on a moments notice.
One of my homegirls is a VP @ Google. She’s 37, caked up, but no man. I told her not to get a dog but she did anyway. Now she’s tryna get rid of the dog. Smh

Dog are basically stand ins for husbands/children.
My cousin (20s) got a dog LMAO after 5 months that dog now lives with my parents she dropped lil fifi 'for a weekend' with them and hasn't picked up lil fifi in MONTHS LMAOOOO

Ironically, a dog might be tougher than a kid in the long run, imo. A couple years of chasing diapers and waiting for the kid to mature seems simple, as opposed to a dog who can't feed themselves,clean up after themselves. and generally need human guidance for their whole life. It's like raising a special needs kid.
