Some are therapy dogs and emotional support animals. A lot of women have gotten more serious about therapy and self-care and incorporating animals is apart of that.

I once had a family member pass away while I was with a former ex who was house sitting three HUGE dogs. He didn’t want to leave me alone but was hesitant b/c he said they weren’t friendly. One was a German Shepard, and two huskies. I went anyway to keep him company. They were stand offish with him but I lie to you not, I had 3 doggy guardians around me the entire day. They followed me EVERYWHERE. If I sat down, they were at my feet. Went to pee in the middle of the night, they followed me to the bathroom. Slept by the bed. They were a great source of comfort, so I definitely encourage interacting with animals for mental health.
I grew up around animals so it’s just always been natural.

This the norm now. Life milestones got pushed back cuz of corporate greed. She'd have a husband to cry to or kids to perk her up but
Americans need to work longer to feel like they can afford kids and a family. So of course women who'd have a husband and kids by 25 in the 80s and 90s now instead have debt and a studio apartment.

I never cared much for dogs, big or small. But if it's like a really cute small dog, people especially women will stop and pet it asking all kinds of questions

A work couple I'm great friends with has this cute mfer right here. Bruh we were eating outside and it's like being a celebrity handler.
Families, young women, older women would always stop and go "omg that's the cutest dog, what's her name? how old is she? where'd you get her...etc"

Anyone with game knows it's all about starting the convo on a good note. With this dog, they will come to you on a good note already. Half the intro job is done already, all you gotta do is move the convo over to what's going on in the area and what are they doing for the weekend?

At a certain point I asked the couple "can I borrow your dog? this is WAY too easy" She said oh hell yeah, it's not even fair. These dogs will bring them to you.
