that bolded is truth. This generation is all about Trends and following them. of course someone sets them. but even the way they're set is a REACH moment. everyone is trying to go viral, everyone is trying to be a star now. this is what happens when you put the camera in everyones face. the cameras only use to be in hollywood and new york. now they are everywhere due to youtube. it means we are all stars to someone. thats a problem. you had people from the middle of nowhere always feening for that hollywood life. but they could never get it. now they can get a taste of it now. if they can just get their video to go viral. they will do anything to make it happen. this is where the "WORLD STAR!!!!" foolishness comes from. running to a bad scene to video something vs helping the person or breaking up the foolishness or just leaving. because everyone wants to be that person that made that thing blow up.

then everyone else gets in line and follows the trend. the following trend thing is so bad now that yall dont have your own identity.

i'll give you an example. my niece is a young millennial. she's in this group of dudes and girls. anyway they were told to give each other christmas gifts. you know a gift exchange.

i'm driving her grandmother around talking about it. and her grandmother tells me and my wife "guess what they all got each other? Starbucks gift cards."

we were like lol, most of them.haa haa.

She was like" NO, ALL OF THEM BOUGHT EACH OTHER THE EXACT SAME GIFT CARD."

now wait a second. how GROUP Think can you get when you go out on your own and end up doing the exact same thing as 20 other kids? Thats a problem youngins. a serious problem. Thats killing your creativity. what makes YOU, YOU.

the TREND does not make you YOU.

There was something else they did where they all ended up doing the exact same thing, the exact same way. like little robots.

I agree, but Im glad that the cameras are no longer centered in Hollywood and NY. That's what caused the southern breakout in 2003. Globalization also killed those centered locations.

This generation is making an active push against white supremacy much more than the previous generation did.

And believe it or not, productivity is actually higher among this generation than it was with the last

The Gen x parents that have Gen y babies had them too early in life, and Gen z is :smh: all around because Gen x were too busy doing anything but becoming family oriented.
Don't forget...they are the "cool" parents

"Well yeah I let my son drink and cuss even though he's 14...he's gonna do it anyways and id rather him do it in here then out there"

"Well I want him/her to see me as a friend, because I want him/her to be honest with me and not hate me"

Good example of this, Puffy and his son. His son, from industry sources, is a male diva that gotten everything he wanted in life without making it for himself.

Gen X separated from old school parenting, that was effective, and created spawn from hell with their kids.

IMO there is a ton of good and bad coming out of this generation. For the bad, I hate some of the social consequences of technology. Every time I go out to dinner I see parents that allow their children to play on iPads or listen to music instead of holding a conversation. Also, there is a HUGE student loans issue. we need some regulations ASAP. Bullshyt private law schools, bullshyt undergrad degrees. College seems to be more about the frat experience than getting gainful employment (hope that doesn't sound too Holmes). Now for the good, we totally ditched cigarettes, are making huuuuuge equality movements, and are starting the health movement.

Sometimes that leads to employment if you know the right people in them groups.

That's a good point. Frats are about as good a networking experience you can get. Just know too many people who were more dedicated to the frat party scene than a degree.

Uncovered bonafide proof of systematic racism and brought it to public consciousness. Also the whole NSA spying thing. The technology is one thing but information wise we're miles ahead and much harder to program through the media than previous gens.

Um no. The hippy movement of the 70s had a stronger impact on society than anything these soft ass twitter activists of today have done. Those guys essentially brought the Vietnam War to an end while today's "activists" celebrate and pat themselves on the back for little shyt like getting police to wear body cameras (even though they continue to shoot people) :camby:

Not to mention the hippy generation actually actively hounded lawmakers and the government about racial equality and government over-reach, while today's "activists" tweet about it and call it a day, or they organize benign "protests" at Apple stores :beli:
