U got good points but I dono I can only speak for myself on this, but I think to say "most NYers" act a certain way towards the south, Midwest , whatever is a bit of an unfair generalization. Maybe it's bc I've spent time down south/Cali and have had interactions w hip hop fans there my perception is different. I always had an open mind and appreciated good music. At the end of the day, if your shyt is hot, it's hot. Region really doesn't make a difference. There's wack rappers down south and lord knows there's wack rappers out here. What I do have a problem w is people blindly hating on a city they probably never been to/know nothing about bc it's become the "cool thing to do". Meanwhile, where's one of the first places people from
Smaller towns/cities wanna move to advance their career, experience city life, or get out of college? NY.

I thin it's a very accurate generalization, but obviously it can't include everyone from NY. But if you think other regions can/do make good music, then that I can agree on. But again, it's not that people look up to NY so much as it's easier to get an opportunity in NY. Big difference...

:patrice:the man asked you where exactly what city or town are you from why you avoid that question though?

Why? So he can tell me where I'm from ain't shyt and say I can't say anything bad about NYC? I've been to NYC before and I didn't like it. Everybody doesn' worship that city. Sorry...

If everyday there's an 'unprompted anti NYC' thread, then everyday there is a thread like this inviting the so-called 'hate'. I remember back 6-7 years ago when even though the South was in control, NY people whether through blogs, messageboards, or actual rappers themselves (e.g. Hip-Hop Is Dead) was constantly hating on the South, mainly during the whole snap music bullshyt. This is what prompted UGK to release songs like Hatin Da South. Any 'hate' NY gets is well deserved because you did it to the West, and then you did it to the South. Notice the South and the West get along throughout all the bullshyt. It's only East Coast cats who have a problem.

That's a fallacy. You only see these threads when there is numerous anti NYC threads. At the end of the day I don't give shyt, I just find it interesting to hear the reasoning behind the hate.

No, it's not a fallacy. I just explained the climate in 2006, and anyone who was following rap at the time can attest to that. But again, if you want to misconstrue it as hate, then be my guest.

Okay and? Lil Jon was still that nikka.
But new Yorkers dress like Cali and down south nikkas. New York ain't got no swag. T Biggest Movement NY had in a while was based on Cali swag. You know the Dipshyts who they they Cali Bloods

nikkas comparing Lil Jon to Jay Z then saying NY got no swag

nikka can you even comprehend how much swag it takes to create a genre??

Let me be clear, your reasoning for the anti NYC threads is the fallacy I was talking about.

I just looked at the last three pages and the only thread that can be considered an anti NYC thread would be the one that talks about NYC not progressing and hating those that do which alot of people from NYC would probably agree with. The problem is, NY cats can't deal with criticism. Prime example, Wayne says he doesn't like NY (due to the trouble he got into while there) and nikkas come out making songs dissing Wayne because he said that, after he was on a track called Hello Brooklyn might I add. But again, the truth is not hate.

Yeah, I'm from the South and hated it too, but the South consists of 10 states. Snap music, however prominent it was in the mainstream, was a very small representation of music from the South even though people use that to discredit the South at every turn.

You didn't even have the testicular fortitude to quote me on this post. :heh: I've said where I'm from many times with no qualms, but this isn't my city/state, versus NYC in a battle. Try to stay on topic.

I'm talking about a couple of weeks ago when every thread had some NYC shyt in the title. It seems to me like you guys can't deal with criticism. I remember during the snap era the second anybody said anything it was always "stop hating, let us eat".

To an extent, that shyt was hating. I'm not saying it wasn't wack because it was, but just because someone comes out with wack music doesn't mean it was a reason to try to disregard a whole coast. if that was the case, NY shouldn't have had any attention for damn near the past 15 years.

How do we gain your favor :pachaha:

We need to know cause we care :pachaha:

We need you to love us we swearrr!!!! :mjpls:

hatin ass nikkas, every region has something they can be called out on, but for some reason NY is always the main focus :heh:

NY winning, nikkas can't keep us out of their minds :ahh::win:
the funny thing is everybody got a opinion about NY:ehh: its usually some wrong opinion formed on internet and videos or i visited for a lil while this is what yall doin shyt but its cool :ehh:

funny thing is like the clown i just asked@lion of judah(better?).......when you ask them exactly what dusty irrelevant town or city they are from most these loudmouths get quiet and wont even say:russ:
then proceed to spit some "why does it matter where im from" shyt all of a sudden:wow:

they know there hometown is usually totally irrelevant like not even heard of before irrelavent and they are ashamed to even say:heh:

the shyt is total comedy

We didn't disregard the whole south, just the music we weren't feeling.
