I was watching Pumping Iron a few weeks ago and it's crazy how times have changed when it comes to the gym. During those times, everybody in the gym is helping each other out, shootin the shyt and giving each other advice.

Go to the gym today and everyone is literally on their phones. Even during their exercises. I get it, y'all focused on your workout and all but you literally see the same folks 5x out of the week and can't chop it up once in awhile.

I'm that guy at the gym. If you come at the same time as me and I see you 5x out of the week, I say wassup and chop it up once in awhile. Most of these cats are younger than me and look surprised that someone in public actually made some type of interaction with them.

It's crazy.
I might need to check that out but you are right .Everybody so damn anti social passing it off as introvertness

It feels like nowadays, folks (mainly women) use "anxiety" as an excuse to be anti-social/socially inept. :francis:

People are still fighting for these things. :usure:
Fam these women use it as an excuse to act a Motherfukking fool.
Also works wonders if they have a pill habit.
Anytime a woman says “I have bad anxiety” it’s a red flag

my gym is different. Everybody that is there the same time everyday socialize. Young or old. Even the females like chattin it up or asking for spots or whatever. but we all understand that we all want to focus on workin out as well so we keep it short and sweet for the most part.

Because "mental illness" is trendy nowadays smh. People are faking anxiety and depression for attention on social media

On the other hand I think society is more open to discussing things of this nature now and the rise of social media has created even more depression bc people are only posting the good parts of their life.

If you remember back in the day when someone would post something "negative" going on in their life ppl would bytch and complain about "keep it to yourself" :dead:

Bolded is the truth. Same peeps who have hundreds of selfies on IG, claim they have anxiety issues or depressed, just to get attention.

Vitamin D(From the sunlight not supplements) deficiency due processed food and geoengineering/chemtrails.

Yep. Hence the reason white folks running around doing all these school shootings and what not.
They already lack melanin which contains vitamin d.
Hell they even tried to get some Vitamin D from a drink and gave reverence to the sun

And social media plays a big part too, as far as comparing your life to others and feeling like you need to be on it so you can "keep up with the times".shyt was honestly a headache. Life definitely wasn't perfect, but it didn't feel as stressful when I didn't have all that shyt to worry/think about, on top of all my personal issues.

Deleted Instagram in March. Facebook can kiss my ass; nothing BUT negative/depressing shyt everyday. That should be gone by next month. And for some reason just yesterday my Twitter wouldn't even let me log in to my account or retreive my password--even though I know my info was correct-- so now I can't even use it at all. So eventually that'll get deleted too (after 6 months, I think). Probably a blessing in disguise tho; I wasted too much time on that bullshyt. I honestly underestimated the effects of social media till I decided to get a Facebook in 2016, (then IG, then Twitter). shyt tried to ruin me.

SM is definitely a contributing factor, shyt is the devil

it's more openly acceptable to talk about mental health issues these days. Who knows how many people in the past were depressed but couldn't openly express it due to stigma? :yeshrug:
