Why does James Harden shoot so poorly in the playoffs?

Through four playoff games, here are the stats, people said the Wiz shoulda traded rookie Beal for Harden before 2012-13 started and give Harden the max:
Harden: 27.5 PPG, .350 FG%, .268 3p%, .871 FT%, 5.3 RPG, 5.5 APG, 1.3 SPG, 4.0 PF, 3.8 TO
Beal: 20.5 PPG, .435 FG%, .500 3p%, .905 FT%, 4.5 RPG, 4.3 APG, 0.8 SPG, 3.3 PF, 0.8 TO
and I would have to imagine Beal has a much lower usage rate than Harden. Harden handles the ball more than the PGs. he is an iso player. good for regular season but not suited for playoff ball every other time down the floor. his game is predicated on drawing fouls and his predictability becomes much higher when players get to face him back to back games.
his shot selection is poor. these are things that are magnified when you move a guy from 3rd option to first. he is not a great first option.....plain and simple. look at those numbers. some people say Melo not a first option on a contender...well Harden is much worse. he's just not efficient in the playoffs and you need the right type of players around him to get the best out of him.
He ran a "read and react" offense for 82 games, why all of a sudden can he not run it now...is 82 games not enough to get it down pat
How can he be shook? He was in the playoffs last year
Portland is not even a good defensive team
How come the less free throws he shoot the lower his field goal percentage is
He had games in the regular season making 20 or more freethrows and not even making 5 total shots

good post...and he IS going to struggle when he doesnt get calls because his whole game is predicated on drawing fouls. that flailing arms shyt just aint workin in the playoffs. iso ball from your MAIN guy in the playoffs just dont cut it. plus he eats a lot of shot clock so it puts more pressure on the offense (for rebounds and such) than it does the opposing defense.

Ain't it obvious. Harden plays me ball. I been saying he plays the worst type of Basketball there is. Even worse than dudes who play with too much emotion. The only style that's worse is Josh Smith ball and chucker ball that was common place in the early 2000's.
I mean, he CANT continue to be this bad, right?
