Different boroughs/neighborhoods in NY have a little rivalry over which is the best but there is no all out beef between any of them

I agree but also disagree. People in BK don't really come uptown with the rara. Harlem has always been Harlem, we've always done us, we don't care about anybody else. Just like there's differences between the eastside and westside of Harlem (that's why it's funny when i see people think everyone from Harlem is the same, yeah we may be a little more stylish but we're our own little world.) . Never in my life have i seen people from BK come to Harlem and direspect (i'm pretty sure it's happened cause BK dudes be deep). People from Harlem don't go to BK that often, we don't have to. We have everything in Manhattan, only time we go to BK is for the parade and for chicks. That's a whole different world to a lot of us haha. BX dudes just as crazy as BK dudes, it's just BK dudes think their toughest. That's why I'm like beef? No, never have i heard anyone being on some, if you from Harlem, we beating you up on sight type stuff. Never. I can't speak for the drug game tho, not really into that haha. And remember, Harlem is a section of Manhattan. You can't compare a section to a Borough.

Haha, I'm like Queens is more of a rival to BK than Harlem is. Harlem has more of a rivarly with the Bronx. They call themselves uptown and we call ourselves uptown but a lot of us are close and a lot of us butt heads because of the schools around the Manhattan/Bronx border.

Either way...The entire BK is not thinking about Harlem like that and vice versa. BK and Queens is more of a rivalry and even that's not too serious IMO. My cousin and my homeboy used to go to QB to see these 2 chicks and returned unmolested every time.

i think jay had been jealous of him ever since big called cam the next king of ny. he also should've known that cam would've been named vp because of how long him and dame had been cool. i believe dame was managing him ever since coc(either him or digga i can't remember) i would've preferred we got more collaborations out of the two than the diss songs that we got but fukk it. cam got in his ass lyrically on u gotta love it. everyone knows jay is worth more so it's not even about that...some people just get emotional for stupid reasons. i can't call it.

Over a decade later and Cam is still on that "bu bu Why he don't like me man?" Cam just comes across as a scorned fan talking about Jay, a real life stan type. I can't speak about now but there was a lot of tension 15+ years ago. Yes Uptown dudes are focused on getting money but also known for slick talking and being HYPER competitive for no damn reason at all. Cam & Mase were very close but did you see the look of disgust on Mase's face when Cam took that last shot? There was a lot of internal tension in Harlem because there's a constant desire to be the guy getting the most attention even amongst your own crew. We picked each other apart for fun, that's just how it was. We went at each others chicks, that's just how it was.
BK dudes had the rep for being grimy & and more low key. We (Harlem dudes) were easy to spot because we were so boisterous and flashy . It just didn't mix well, especially back in the day when Brooklyn had all the stick up kids & Decepts running around. I'm not going to lie I had to maneuver through situations where n!ggas thought I was food. I remember N!ggas tried to run down on me coming out of BFO's, I had just copped 3 new rugbys & I had to put those skates on to avoid the jux .

I would never go to BK for a chick multiple generations of people out on the block for no reason at all, and they all know you're from around there.

Anyway I'm kinda all over the place but I'm sure it was a personality clash for the most part. Jay was used to people coming in and somewhat quietly playing their position. I don't doubt Cam let him know off top that eventually he wanted his spot.

The problem with Cam is he just the kinda nikka that easily gets under your skin. Me personally I can't fukk with nikkas like that. And it seems to be a trait of Harlem nikkas for some reason. I'm still amazed that Jay even stayed with Dame for that long when he has the same character as Cam pretty much.

Good to see Cam grow up a bit now though. And lookin at that hairline I know he regretting them "old" jokes now.
