Why does Lebron refuse to go to a ball movement-heavy offense?

And they still didn't respect it.

And they won the series.

In 5 games.
His jumper is the weakest part of his game but it's not weak. I don't think anyone wants LeBron taking a lot of open shots against them, they just can't guard his shot and his drive at the same time so they typically choose to give him enough space that it limits his driving ability.

There's a difference between the way they guard LeBron and simply leaving a guy open because you don't respect him and want him to shoot.

this is why message boards can be so challenging.

When did I say Lebron's jumper was weak? I called it unreliable and brushed back against the claim that it was "lethal."

Weak is Iman Shumpert shooting jumpers. Lebron knows his jumper aint that strong so he don't take as many as he used too. He can hit them, but he rather do something else.

i thought after the Spurs series in 2014, he would team up w/ Blatt and make a better offense, but he didnt.
Well, he won a title and has been in the Finals every year since so what is really the argument AGAINST what he is doing? :usure:

I never claimed you said it was weak. I agree that it isn't lethal, but its reliable and the fact that he is often given space to shoot them has nothing to do with a lack of respect. Defenses are just more worried about his godly driving ability and finishing at the rim than his jumper and rightfully so.

It's padding stats because he has to initiate everything. If everything starts or ends with him then he is getting points or an assist on 80% of the trips.

If the ball moved around better he wouldn't get the assist or even the points but the ball would be in the right place.
It's padding stats because he initiates everything:mjlol:. Do you hear yourself breh? That's his style of play. He needs the ball in his hands. He plays that way the whole game so why would that change in the 4th? Y'all just making up random shyt that don't make any sense. Since he initiates everything I guess all point guards pad stats because they usually initiate the offense:gladbron:. Everyone has a style of play breh. LeBron is more effective with the ball in his hands. You can't expect him to play like someone else just for your liking. Jordan had the ball in his hands alot in the 4th too breh. Y'all nikkas are :pachaha:.

You asked a simple question that seemed like you were struggling with so I answered. I never said it was a terrible way to play but clearly it's not matching the success of the Warriors or players before him he is being compared to.

Jordan did have the ball in his hands a lot but 1) he didn't on every play, he actually ran off screens well and 2) he never lost a championship round. Lebron has lost many. Pippen ran the offense which allowed Jordan time to roam and play better D. Lebron wants to drive and kick instead of defend. Defense doesn't always equal good box score so there you have it.....

Golden State runs a more fluid offense and they dominate...This applies to Westbrook as well. It's great they have triple doubles a lot but when they dominate the ball every single time down the floor of course that will happen.

Which will still win 35 games :skip:

I don't know about that, I'm sure there are some teams you could plug Love into where he could play his game and get more than 35 wins.

shyt had Cleveland Kept Wiggans they'd be better than a 35 win team.

No shyt it's not matching the warriors, the warriors are a better TEAM. You keep trying to compare LeBron the individual to a team. The fact that you dudes keep wanting to dismiss is that the better team usually wins. The Warriors were by far the best team this season and comparing LeBron's way of play to Jordan is stupid because LeBron is a SF in a PF body type. He will never be able to play like a guard breh. The only knock you can have on him is his weak post up game. For a man that size he should have developed a post game. Yall keep trying to bring up what LeBron should have done but the reality was they were going to lose regardless.

Like where? Most teams where someone like Love would "flourish" or be even step behind his Minnesota days aren't playoff teams. On most or all playoff teams he'd be filling the same role as a third option. The one exception is maybe the Celtics who need a second person who can score 22 a night but then we'd be talking about them being one of the worst defensive front courts in the league.

A Kyrie-Wiggins team would go .500 at best those 2 would iso all day with worse results due to Wiggins being an inferior player to LeBron. Also, Wiggins has yet to show the motor/desire to elevate a lottery team and "be the man".

Classic control freak.

It's what allowed him to do cool shyt like put his childhood buddies in positions of power, but it's also what's hurt his basketball legacy on the court.

Anybody that can judge things objectively, knows damn well they've never seen a better pure ball player than Lebron.

But it's his inability to let others take control, unless it's completely on his terms, that's killing his legacy.

Being in a heavy ball movement offense would probably be the best thing for Lebron's career, but it would take the ball out of his hands, and he's not having that.

Why are we assuming they'd iso all day when Blatt was looking to install an offense with a ton of movement?
