Why does Lebron refuse to go to a ball movement-heavy offense?

they could win just off bron&ky iso's supplemented by love&swish&the rest of the role players
but they'd have to take a time machine back to the heroic ages to do it doe

I agree with your post as far as his offense but how is that padding stats and not just his style of play?

It's padding stats because he has to initiate everything. If everything starts or ends with him then he is getting points or an assist on 80% of the trips.

If the ball moved around better he wouldn't get the assist or even the points but the ball would be in the right place.

It's bad coaching. Lebron's development has slowed since he left Miami. He would benefit from a coach that utilized his skill set in all the ways it can help.

Lebron can have all the GS plays run for him and excel at all times. Instead, its ball in his hands or Kyries, 4 or 5 out, with a pick at the top, so they can get a switch.

From 2004-2011, Lebron averaged 33% from three. His best season was 35.1%

From 2012-2017, Lebron averaged 36% from three. Five out of six of those seasons, he was 35.4% or better, with his best at 40.6%.

That's an obvious improvement you can't deny. And you can't claim it's all on lower volume, because his best number ever for made threes/game is 1.7, and two of the three times he's hit that were since 2015.

Same goes for playoffs. Lebron's best playoff season ever for threes was....THIS year, at 41.1%.

Lebron's best season for made threes/game in the playoffs was....THIS year, at 2.4 a game.

Up until 2010, Lebron was a 30% three-point shooter in the playoffs. Since then he's averaged over 34% three-point shooting in the playoffs.

Same with midrange jumpers. From 2003-2010, Lebron was about a 32% shooter from 10-16 feet and a 37% shooter from 16-23 feet.

From 2011-2017, Lebron has been a 41% shooter from 10-16 feet and a 39% shooter from 16-23 feet.

In fact, Lebron's midrange averages from 2011-2015, when he was peaking, were BETTER than any four-year stretch in Kobe's entire career.

Again, same goes for playoffs. Lebron has averaged 40% from 16-23 in the playoffs since 2011, a number he had only hit ONCE before then.

Lebron shot 49% from 16-23 in this year's playoff run, tying his best ever.

49% on long twos and 41% on threes in an 18-game playoff run, and you claim that he "never developed a good jumper." :dead:

lol @ mastermind being exposed for making shyt up :mjlol:

made up? You doofuses know that there is an option on bball reference to look up shooting charts?

Lebron don't take as many jump shots as he used too.

His 3 point shot has improved, but he is not a lethal shooter. Damien Lillard is a lethal shooter. Kyrie Irving is a lethal shooter. Kawhi Leonard is a lethal shooter. Lebron has improved a lot, but his jumper aint reliable. Especially in comparison to his first Cleveland run.

what L?

The one you and your Lebron stans are walking around with?

Lebron is not a lethal shooter breh. Golden State didnt even respect brehs jumper. They gave him the space to shoot.

I'm not a Lebron stan breh, I just call you dudes out. GS didn't respect his jumper and yet he kept canning them and came into the Finals with a career high playoff 3pt% :mjlol:

And they still didn't respect it.

And they won the series.

In 5 games.

Because Cleveland's defense wasn't good enough.

How much evidence will it take for you rock-brains to realize that Cleveland lost this series on DEFENSE, not offense.

They scored 484 points the last four games and still lost three of them. :picard:

Golden State starts three of the greatest shooters in history. No, Lebron's shot, maybe his fifth-best asset as a player, is NOT good enough to keep pace with three of the greatest shooters in history, especially not when they get to go off on a mediocre defense while he's matched up against Iggy and/or Durant all game. But that doesn't mean that he "never developed a good shot."
