Mugabe is a greedy opportunistic corrupt fukker, but he doesn't like white people (who aren't cutting him a check) or value western cultural values over African ones, so a lot of people in Africa like him for that.

I know the average Nigerian was like when he was like "nah" to all that fakkit shyt, but he doesn't run Nigeria or have a daily effect on Nigerian lives.

But hell, who knows, for a big enough payout I could see him embracing western values.

Mugabe could have done things so differently if he cared for his people, but the dude only cared for his own and his cronies hip pocket. What hes done to his country since independence is a textbook example of what no newly independent african nations should ever do for the purpose of progress. He should have taxed the white zimbabwe farmers more instead of taking their lands to fund education programs for the youth who would eventually takeover the agricultural industry, use Zimbabwes resources such as diamonds to fund modernisation programs and to encourage investment. He could have just followed the Botswana model who had a similar situation to zimbabwe

They kicked farmers off the land who have spent alot of fukking time working those fields. Zimbabwe didnt have enough experienced farmers to fill the void. This is why i said they should have shadowed the farmers to make sure they were ready to boot them before booting them. Like any job, you dont fire the guy who has an abundance of knowledge until you have someone you're confident can replace them.

Their agriculture profits dropped over 10 billion and they're getting food aid to feed a quarter of the people. They need more experience. This is why many of the farmers have returned to the land and work in a joint fashion, for now.

First we gotta ask the right questions. Like how much of the economy was agriculturally driven. Which companies were being sanctioned and how much market share did those companies have. How many employees. There are real questions to ask. But questions like those either prove or disprove someone's position.

Zimbabweans are learning to monetize their farm crops and implementing new techniques all the time. They are getting better slowly. More than 100K+ Zimbabweans were given land as a function of Mugabe's land reform.

All this is a better alternative than eating the scraps of what some cacs decides to feed you from your own old. Better to stand on your feet and learn to fish than sit on your ass and beg for fish.

Cacs dont have a monopoly on farm knowledge but if they had used them effectively they could have made the transition a lot easier. So there was less struggle in the beginning.
