Ill never forget hearing wanna love you in 06 and thinking :ohlawd: this cac has overtaken JT. Then his album dropped and it was nyquil elevator music. Thicke is garbage. He has no vocal range and constantly sings in that garbage ass falsetto. The only reason he's popular is because his family ties and he panders to blacks in the worst way

Maybe Robin Thicke should've joined a boy band in order to get better name recognition.

Robin thicke has done nothing more musically then eric benet or any other vocally challenged singer. Jon B>>>>> and another thing why is this cac signed to Pharrell label but hardly works with him? Wanna love you was fire but he continues to use his own medical office soundingproduction

Dude's always had solid albums.

I don't have an issue with the guy at all. He stays in his lane and makes the kinda music he wants to. Can't hate on the homie for that.

 Yea that worked out so well for that carter dude from backstreet boys and nick lashey

Exactly my point, no one knows who has what connections in the industry, it's easy to say robin thicke's parents helped him out, but you don't think timberlake's mother putting him on star search with that cowboy hat on and then being involved with one of the biggest companies on earth and then lou pearlman bringing him to the masses as the lead singer of a boy band isn't getting help in some kind of way? Granted out of the boy bands that came out, he was one of the most talented singer, but lets not act like his success is self-generated, because honestly, no one's success at that level is. timberlake has been in the industry since he was a child.

The reason why Robin Thicke gets a pass is because he seems less industry polished, more mature, more into the craft of making music. Timberlake has stated before that he was burned out on making music and wanted to give it up. and this was before his second album came out.

I'll put it another way, Robin Thicke comes across as a guy that has always been around black people and absorbed the culture without reverse kooning. timberlake comes across as the guy infatuated with the culture, but keeps it at arms length, but will wear cornrolls and bandanas to show people that he's down. It just comes across as inauthentic and forced to me.

They both get a pass from me :yeshrug:

JT is a triple threat so I Stan for him off of that. Bit like I've said before, RT filled a void for me in the past seven years. I guess I just love falsettos.

This is it for me,Robin Thicke seem like a cool whiteboy, that won't throw his Young Jeezy cd out the car soon as the cops pull em over:skip:.....Timbersnake hurt his good will with black folks basically off the Janet shyt in my eyes,I didn't look at em in no kinda way until that shyt, then I got snapped back into reality....just like those racist tapes did Eminem for me,I didn't have no hate towards dude before that.....so far Robin Thicke hasntt done or said nuthin to make me look at him as fakin the funk, don't get it twisted I won't be suprised at this point if sumthin came out:mjpls:

And u can't give JT too much more credit then Robin Thicke for his "rise"....didn't Timberlake get signed by a child predator:russ:....he got signed by a dude wit a crush who wanted to fuk em and maybe did:why:,Robin Thickes rich pops put sum money behind em,which basically ever musician has to have before they blow....far as I know his pops ain't have connections in the rnb game or could in any way force black folks to like his son..

Why do people here care about anything beside the quality of the music? why do they care about the skin color of the singer/rapper? age? His jeans fit? his haircut?
