I'm not really a fan, but when Thicke came out under Andre Harrell he was singing the same way he singing now. Actually, more soulful, and he had long hair like a hippie :skip:

What is this "promotion of being down"..Every time I hear this it's purely speculation. Is there a "down" checklist for white people?

Does a white guy need a felony charge to be down?

Does he need a black g/f?

Does he need to use slang?

Does a white girl need to date a black guy? Does she need to be open to interracial dating?

Pretty much the black people who say this are the ones who conjured up this image of said white person in their heads. Bill Clinton was "down" until Obama came along to face off with his wife. Now he's "racist". :aicmon: The irony of throwing out tag-lines like "white privilege" is that you set the bar so low for white males(females) too that when you end up praising white people who do inclusion from afar act. *cough Bill Maher*, *cough Tim Wise*.. Yeh those two are soooo down :stopitslime:

That's not Justin's problem. That's black people's problem.

White ppl :wow:

Of course, blame it on black people :cape:

Its not speculation. Read his interviews from when he was promoting Justified.

Performing at the Soul Train Awards? Come on now.

BET even gave him a TurnStyle biography special. :deadmanny:

You think he name drops soul artists, growing up in the church and claiming to be from Memphis for no reason at all? Pharrell and Timbaland made it a point during his debut to let the urban audience know how 'black' and 'soulful' he was to sell him as an artist. It was almost like a campaign.

Justin is overrated,
Ronin came out as a Hippie,
Jon B. is the only one who should get praise,
You can tell he really cared for the culture and music.
The reason why Justin and Robin are so popular,
Mainly because of B1tches,
Black b1tches at that,
And blacks as a whole do not care about authentic and soulful r&b coming from us(blacks) anymore,
We will not allow us to make any r&b song about love if it do not include some type of hurtful pain,
Kind of like rap right now,
There are nothing but trap joints being made from every black rapper out now,
If not,
Us blacks will not listen to it,
We will dismiss it,
A white rapper can come out with any type of song,
Still be accepted and sell more,
Point is,
We hate ourselves.

JT music is cool, but shyt is forced. We saw what happened with Janet at the Super Bowl. If you gonna come into our culture - wear that shyt, hold your water and ride for her. He left her out to fukkin dry and got right back into his Mickey Mouse routine. It's sorry as hell nikkas still fukk with him after that shyt. We "accepted" him with open arms like it never happened.

His shyt is too cosmetic for me. But both of them cant sang either. lol
