ATL…overly
You focus only on them, what about the Magic, Jazz, Wolves? Were the Sixers supposed to be a contender within 3 years? Also, the Celtics are in a odd position now, they don't have a single franchise level talent and were willing to give up 6 draft picks just to get the 9th pick, if tomorrow the Sixers wanted to trade Okafor to them all those players you're talking about would be on the Sixers. The Celtics are in a position where they are too good to get impact draft picks, but not good enough to take the next step, but that's a good spot to be in according to you?

This season, you argued that the Pacers should make the playoffs over missing them, meanwhile they are going to lose West, are on the verge of trading Hibbert and still lack a wing player to go with George. At least they found a frontcourt player in the draft that has talent, someone they wouldn't have been in position to draft had they made the playoffs like you were saying they should. On the flipside, the Nets who did make the playoffs are assed out :russ:

Ok. So you'd rather be the Sixers and be the worst team in the league without a franchise level talent, good coach or smart GM. Let's keep it real, would the average fan want their team to win 20 games a year, draft terribly or be in the mix to make a run and have the luxury of having assets to rebuild their team? Let me guess you'd rather be a lotto team again and draft another C next yr :camby: BTW, what is the length of this rebuild? 3 yrs, 5 yrs, indefinitely? What's the timeline/goal of this? To be a .500 team by 2025?

As for the Pacers, yea I said it. What pieces do you think you could've realistically gotten for 98 yr old David West? Hibbert's a bum and has been an inconsistent bum for years. You're advocating for Indy to have torn it down but what would they've gotten back? They weren't gonna be Philly/NYK/Minny bad and wouldn't have gotten the star PG they need. Everybody can't tank and think that'll solve everything

Yes, I'd rather be the Sixers than the Celtics, why do you think Ainge was willing to give up so much just to get into the top 10. Even he can see that the roster is full of nothing but roleplayers, and what do you mean the Sixers don't have a franchise level talent? The Celtics would give up damn near their entire roster to get Jahlil :russ: look at both of those teams and the two best players are on the Sixers (Jahlil & Nerlens). What good is a coach if you don't have the weapons needed to actually win, the Celtics are desperately trying to find an impact player right now, but being middle of the road is where it's at for you.

So a rebuild should take no more than 3 years, got it, again where is your discussion about the Jazz, Magic and Wolves? All of them have been in rebuild mode for the last couple years, why is it you only focus on the Sixers and not those 3 teams as well?

The point about West is that had they made the playoffs, they would have lost him and not been in the position to draft his replacement. By missing the playoffs they were able to draft Myles Turner and will eventually have the caproom to pursue a PG. Your plan of making the playoffs would have left them in a spot where they'd have to spend money on a frontcourt player that should be going to a wing. They also had the opportunity to draft Cameron Payne, if they made the playoffs that wouldn't have been the case, they choose a big over him, but the point still remains making the playoffs this year would have hurt them.

Breh reports from ESPN was stating GMs are jealous as he has free reign for a couple of years to do what he do

if its 2018 and embiid is greg oden 2.0, okafor doesn't develop into a star, and they're still in the lottery, you best believe he'll be fired.

this experient hinges on showing some promise. right now, all the sixers have is draft picks. nothing in the way of tangible players.

Yeah, because the Lakers are so loaded with talent they can afford to pass up on lottery picks.

never said i wouldn't like to keep the pick. just saying it isn't as devastating as losing a lottery pick in a talent rich draft. if this was next year and we were in danger of losing a lottery pick in the josh jackson, dennis smith, harry giles, jayson tatum draft, i'd be HEATED.

2016 is really all about ben simmons. and you need the #1 pick or top 3 at worst to get him. i'm not sweating it.

Every fukking move is on promise in sports for GMs man come on now you better than that. Sit there and not admit what he doing in 2 years is not impressive

if the sixers are a 50 win team in 2-3 years, i'll proclaim him the best gm in the nba. right now all he's shown is an ability to accrue protected 1st round picks and 2nd round picks. nothing tangible has come from all his tanking.

at this time in the OKC tanking experiment, they had Durant, Westbrook, and Ibaka in the fold. who does philly have? Okafor?

This time last year, no one was talking about D'Angelo Russell, now Lakers fans are saying he was the better choice than the consensus #1 pick last summer in Okafor. :camby:
D'angelo wasn't even thinking bout no nba.

Homie already said he was surprised. He said he unloaded his bags at ohio state looking at a 4 year plan

He was never the star at Montverde

He went to osu. Made some fancy passes that blew up on vine. Shot 40% from the 3.

GM's go :gladbron::gladbron::gladbron:

LOTTERY PICK :gladbron::gladbron::gladbron:
