No matter how many times I say you can't compare OVO to MMG, the Roc, Ruff Ryders, ETC y'all continue to do so.
Those labels were marketed as family and crews.
OVO is run like a major label where you create your own buzz and work your own music.

What's exactly your point? If they were on OVO Aubrey would be cherry picking their songs for his own career and they'd be releasing flops like the rest of ovo.

Drake is one of the biggest artist in the world and he can't put on for at least one artist that's signed to his label.

Thats a special case tho, who really had a project like house of balloons under their belt.

Meek was on Smack, the street DVD's, beef with Reed Dollaz. The Flamerz tapes, had a deal with T.I. and Grand Hustle before Maybach.
Meek and Wale have their own brands independent of Maybach and side deals as well.
Why y'all nikkas don't talk about Stalley, Rockie Fresh, or Gunplay's numbers? Comparing rappers with fan bases and deals pre-MMG to OVO a label with a smaller budget and a roster of Canadian alternative R&B acts.

Pretty funny how people claim to be in the know about charts and what's hot, yet can only manage to come up with smilies as the reason why. There's no tangible evidence of a lot of this music people claim to be hot, actually being hot. It's similar to people using extreme analytics to prove a team has a great defense, when you can just use the eye test and see that team goes 3-13 that same year. Do any of y'all actually go to parties/clubs? Y'all actually flip on the radio every in awhile? See advertisements on TV? Or do y'all just look at YouTube and SoundCloud views, both which clearly had been getting manipulated for years? Based on yalls logic, Hopsin and Earl Sweatshirt are some of the hottest selling/unit moving dudes out.
