The real question is why they are cannibalizing themselves by dropping lesion a week earlier. Why do these publishers think gaming only happens sept-nov?

They must be playing chicken with cd projekt red or hoping they are gonna delay again because otherwise it makes no sense. I can see a lot of people buying watchdogs and cyberpunk but not cyberpunk AND AC. there are alot of hardcore assassins creed stans but i don't think it compares to the hype that CP is gonna have after witcher 3

maybe Ubi has inside information. I wouldn't be surprised but they DID claim the game was complete from A-Z and they just needed to fix bugs and makre sure all the branching narratives work. I think they are having trouble trying to get it to run smoothly on vanilla xbox and ps4.

It's saving me money. Assassins creed and Watch dogs will probably be $30-40 for a used copy by the time I finish Cyberpunk.
AC is a steady franchise that has a loyal dedicated fan base. They will do numbers. WD2 low key flopped. Don’t understand the release outside the game needs to drop this fiscal year
Because Ubisoft's been dropping Assassin Creed games for 13 years and made it into a highly profitable series, while Cyberpunk is all anticipation. Why would Ubi be bothered by it?

Cyberpunk got pushed back to that date. More than likely Ubisoft been had Nov 17 set as their date.
But they are two different games with two different core fanbase, same with Watch Dogs. I plan on getting all three eventually but Assassin's Creed is getting copped on release day with the other two when they get discounted

AC is an established franchise that has a devoted fanbase and you're making the mistake of underestimating it. The only juggernaut that could cut into their sales to the extent that it'd be significant (if they were brazen and foolish enough to release in the same week) would be R*. Valhalla looks totally uninspired but Ubisoft will get their numbers regardless.
