Aaand that's why it's not realistic...that part of the idea is hustling backwards...pretty much everything aside from porn is free online, and funding is from premium features of the service, Patreon, and real life events...people will say having to subscribe is some elitist BS, but optional donations with incentives and goals is a better driver.
well I am developing an app for black/latin/indigenous comics that will be free to use but have gated content to promote spending some cash if you love the platform and want instant access to everything. It is a curated platform so we don't see amateur work but people can still join the internal forums to learn the trade and improve/recruit.
i already have the demand so I don't need anyone's content to promote it but because I have the brand recognition already, other creators are signing up to give me exclusive rights to their digital content. This will make launch have over 100 episodes of content with atleast 40 episodes added a month

I’ve found lots of good businesses that I wouldn’t have known about otherwise.
I just bought my sister a TWENTY FIVE dollar scented candle for her birthday from a black owned candle maker.
The price was absurd, but I want to help as many black people out as possible. And after doing research on other high end candles, that’s a common price.
