They created their own subculture solely dedicated to them. No one else has done this in rap.
They pretty much revolutionized the whole horrorcore thing to a tee but that was not without 36 and hypnotize minds.
Like wu...and the w eagle. The psychopathic records hatchetman...the clown covers from the great milenko onwards they have a definite image and continuity and stick to it. Where its immediately recognizable.
They have two platinum albums.
They even have their own festival which has gained notoriety as it being woodstock on crack.
Theyve been around since the early 90s.
Sure...they aint mainstream but best believe they got a following that trumps anyone in the mainstream.

Like ive heard a couple of tracks (this was when i was in my young rebellious teen years when it was all about rap and metal) and i couldnt fukk with their music like that but i see why people would.
They created a niche and made it poppin.

Plus they stay putting on for the culture and have had people like Tech N9ne, Danny Brown, Juicy J, Ice T, etc play at the gathering of the juggalos.

I can see why certain people like their music as supposed to why certain people dont...but i got to respect what theyve accomplished.

They made a career of off Esham's homey dont play EP, album cover, and subject matter. They dont make horrorcore music, they make a soulless cac version of acid crap (the wicket shyt).

Boomin Words from Hell is the foundation of this so called horrorcore genre. It dropped in 88' and was re-released in 89'. "Word after Word" influenced your favorite rappers talking that dark evil devil shyt

Icp have multiple platinum cds without mtv or radio help

Plus they were down with the late Ol Dirty b*stard :salute:

No idea why they are disliked, I think most Coli posters would like them if they gave them a chance
This.
I think there videos were actually banned from mtv at one point. Plus they were on WCW for a bit.

But yeah...two platinum albums with no radio airplay and no mtv.

Like it or not the hold a necessary place in the pop culture world.

I've met many non cacs who are juggalos
Same.
Ive met black dudes that loved icp that were about marilyn manson cradle of filth etc.
Like i dont and never got this musical racist shyt.

I dont care who you are as long as the music is good. I support my favorite artists.
One of the best concerts ive seen was sonic youth for free back in 2003. Another was one of my favorite bands...The Deftones in 2010 and that was a 15 year long dream comw true. And they also have a diverse fanbase.
Ive been to many concerts...metal punk hip hop raves etc and the atmosphere is always the same. People connected by the common like of music.

Also...straight up? Most of those artist were inspired by black music in onde way or another and basically doing black music so why should i as a black person feel out of place listening to it or going to their shows?

shyt...i watched a minor threat concert from the 80s on youtube...damn near the whole front row is filled with blacks man.

Like music is music. It shouldn't have a color to it.

I did go to a Tech 9 concert once i got free tickets and the shyt was aight the energy was cool not some shyt I would listen to but it was cool lil concert

:ehh:
Tech 9 is seriously underrated. One of the more lyrical rappers ive heard. I thought he was gonna blow up with the little wayne cosign but by then he already had a vicious cult following.

That would be "mind of a lunatic" off grip it on that other level...and "assassins" off the orginal Geto Boys album that did that ..Esham sampled shyt from both those songs on "boomin words from hell" if i recall correctly

I will say their cult following is impressive.
It is.

I watched a festival of the juggalos documentary with ice t as narrator and it was mind blowing. It seems like they're all about acceptance and being yourself. Plus there was tons of debauchery slutty chicks and drugs being partaken in.

I want to go next year and just bring an ounce of kush and maybe some lsd and try to game on juggalettes.

Ive heard about the gathering thatbthe hardcore juggalos dont fukk with people that obviously are not (squares obviously) but if danny brown is getting love there obviously i wouldnt feel out of place. Im not a square...lol.

Violent J lived with 2 siblings and a single mom....far from burbs

Shaggy was dirt poor too

Nice try. Did you read Behind the Paint? It'd tell you all you'd need to know.

From what I read Shaggy is from Wayne County. Violent J grew up I n Oakland County. Even in a township. Eventually the two would live in Wayne County.

Suburbs of Detroit.

:dwillhuh:

:scust:

They're rap for people who would be openly racist. Dont come at me with "theres black juggalos" or "im not racist but like them". I don't think everyone who listens to them are racist, but you know a lot of them would say some wild shyt the second their black friend wasn't around.

Edit: Im sure its a regional situation and some spots are cool. They all look like the smell like cat piss tho

I said their cult following is impressive. Like Grateful Dead impressive.

I never said the music was good or not a gimmick.

Violent j's family moved all over the place in Michigan when he grew up

By the time he was a teenager he was a gang member in Delray in southwest Detroit
