That would be "mind of a lunatic" off grip it on that other level...and "assassins" off the orginal Geto Boys album that did that ..Esham sampled shyt from both those songs on "boomin words from hell" if i recall correctly

You got a point there bruh and I'll give props where its due. Esham has said plenty times that the wicket shyt is rap from the view of a psychotic person.

He still is the father of that devil shyt tho lol.

Neck ties and boxing gloves.
Violent j's family moved all over the place in Michigan when he grew up

By the time he was a teenager he was a gang member in Delray in southwest Detroit

Was this before or after he was ran out of the suburbs of Michigan to North Carolina?

And at what age?

You're from where you grow up until you're at least eighteen.

:scust:

They're rap for people who would be openly racist. Dont come at me with "theres black juggalos" or "im not racist but like them". I don't think everyone who listens to them are racist, but you know a lot of them would say some wild shyt the second their black friend wasn't around.

Edit: Im sure its a regional situation and some spots are cool. They all look like the smell like cat piss tho

Dude. Ill be honest. They occupy the same lane as eminem's fanbase. Rap for people who like rap but want to listen to someone who they can relate to.

Btw the gathering has had some very surprising artists play there. And they only threw beer bottles at tila tequila cause she was an annoying bytch who was talking shyt. Last time i ever heard of her.

Not saying what you're saying cant be true...but ICP stays repping black rappers and pretty much owe their career to them. And we all know white people buy the most rap. So even though they white rapping to a mostly white audience...they still are consuming and taking part in an artform created by black people.

Like shyt dawg im 31. I remember back in the 90s seeing white boys that were listening to nirvana and pearl jam switch up and start listening to pac and biggie the next year. Ive been to hippy jam band festivals where i was like one of the few if only black people there and was getting mad love and never had anybody say racist shyt to me. Actually in 16 years of going to concerts ive never had anyone say some racist shyt to me there. Hell the opposite. I had people passing me bowls passing me blunts giving me the damn near vip treatment cause im guessing they dont expect to see black folk there. Lol.

I used to run with that crowd though moreso because i was hanging out with mostly potheads at the time. And ravers. And skaters. Ive been in many circles as a musician and dj. I can just fit right in any spot. Id bet a breh would probably fit right in at the gathering of the juggalos than say...some lame ass hipster tourist who only goes cause vice told them to. Lol.

Keep in mind i grew up in the burbs. So that shyt aint alien to me. And i went to college in smalltown ohio and hung out with mostly townies outside of the school cause of smoking weed and stuff.

Its just interesting to observe so to speak.

shyt...i watched a minor threat concert from the 80s on youtube...damn near the whole front row is filled with blacks man.

.

Link? I don't think it ever seen that

Side note: not until the past few years have I noticed more and more non whites (specifically black) attending hardcore/punk shows, fronting bands etc etc. like 5 years ago there was only one black kid who went to shows regularly but now there's A LOT more. I think it's great.

You can pretend you're trolling, but the music is awful and a gimmick.

But they have an impressive following of white trash looking for somewhere to belong.
I cant get into their music personally but i always thought there was something dope about their image. Lol. They never spit hot lyrical bars. As far as white rappers go id rather listen to someone like Necro or Ill Bill or Vinnie Paz.

I mean...yes their audience is mostly (i hate saying this) white trash but white trash need their heroes too.

And i saw where this was going since the 90s...rock was big...then in the mid 90s you were seeing rock bands incorporate rap into their shyt so obviously icp filled that niche of white middle american kids that liked rap and metal and wrestling and faygo. Its so late 90s it hurts. Now its just rap thats bigger than rock and metal. So obviously you're going to get people reinterpreting the art to suit them.

Rock stopped being interesting in the 90s.
Then again my favorite bands from back then were limp bizkit, korn, deftones, primus, etc...

Link to some bands? I stopped going to shows in 08-09 but you're right about the past. I grew up in Southern California though so we had plenty of mexican dudes from surrounding areas.

All respect due, I have a more diverse taste in music since I moved out of Baltimore.

A lot of the classics musically, but I would not put ICP and Eminem in the same category. I get artists like the Geto Boys performed for that shyt show but Rakim, the God emcee, called Eminem the Ali of rap.

And Em isn't obsessed with butterflies or spray Fargo.

I'm a huge Tom Waits and Leonard Cohen fan, and I'm from Baltimore City. I'm just calling out some bullshyt and this myth of where ICP are from yet where they claim to rep.

Icp is for outcasts who are desperate to be accepted. Its no coincedence every juggalo i know is some lame nerd with no friends who needs other lames and their lame shock music to feel like they apart of aomething. I only knew 3 here in jerz and one of them switched to a lame wannabe crip saying loc and shyt. These kids have no identity and think theyre cool when in reality its just a group of betas coming together.

Icp the group i have no problem with tho. More power too them. But the people who follow their every move are some desperate motherfukkers who cling to their "shock" music in ofder to be accepted by other lames.

Think back to your highschool and how lame n outcast those juggalo kids were and youll know what ik talking about
