Why don't Joe Manchin and Sinema just run as Republicans?

I supported Biden over the rest of the weak Dem candidates, that doesn’t mean I support everything Biden wants to do. The far left is trying to push Biden to do things that he, as a traditional moderate, may not really want to do. Manchin is a good stop gap to prevent a lot of the far lefts agenda, which I can appreciate.

Like voter protection for your black ass?

What would Biden’s Agenda look like if Manchin isn’t there and Bernie/Schumer and far left pressure on the White House is unchecked?

I have no problem with Manchin not letting the Dems ram everything through without consideration. The spending is already crazy, and businesses can barely get people back to work.

Edit-matter of fact, if Joe Manchin isn’t there, there would be no Biden Agenda. His seat would be controlled by a republican :mjlol: . Y’all better talk to him nice. He’s the most powerful person in the senate :yeshrug:

fukk that guy. There is no Biden agenda now, that's the problem and why this thread exists. Unemployment isn't out of control, people just aren't going back to waiting tables for bullshyt pay and no benefits. Some women are leaving the workplace for good because after staying home they realized their whole paycheck was going to childcare so it makes more sense for them to take care of their own kids. Also people can't turn down jobs and keep collecting unemployment benefits, so that's not why jobs are having trouble finding people.

This topic is about why Dem Senators do not want to use their power to legislate on priorities they say they support.
Biden supports bipartisanship and has made it a priority in his agenda since day 1 of his campaign...
Every time i heard him during the campaign he talked about working with rethugs/reaching across the aisle... not sure what the shock and whining is about. This is the guy we elected.

That said, he's doing a good job as president IMHO:yeshrug:

Joe Biden proposed an infrastructure plan that is currently being gutted to get Manchin on board. Manchin is seeking "bipartisanship" on the bill so more and more is being taken out, including money for roads and bridges.
Its a jobs bill, not an infrastructure bill... A straight infrastructure bill without any of the other shyt would have passed already with bipartisan support.

An infrastructure bill is by its nature a jobs bill because someone has to build and repair the infrastructure so you aren't really saying anything.
