I just went to ScHoolboy Q's concert in San Francisco yesterday, and I was one of about 15-20 black people in the place. The rest were White and Asian. I have no problems with them, but I hate it when other cultures, especially from sheltered backgrounds act rap the word nikka during the set.

What are your thoughts on concerts, and why black people seem to not attend them? What are your thoughts on other cultures saying "nikka" at concerts?

No i described a rap concert

You want the rappers to have choreography or props?

Every rap concert I've been to has been so lit that you not even focused on the stage

You think anyone at this video is monitoring how many steps Future is taking during his set?

You said people don't pay attention to the rappers then you posted a video of people focusing on Future:mjlol:. It's not about choreography it's about energy, and a lot of these new rappers don't have it. People pay to see Kendrick, Drake, Future, TI and other big names, they don't spend hundreds of dollars to just listen to them rap in the background.

Live in a majority wht city, then ask were the blk ppl at....:mjlol:

If Q was in Atlanta or Houston, im sure the demographic would reflect more blks.
I know I live in a mostly white city, but I've been to other cities with different artists and it was the same thing. I used Q as an example because it happened Saturday

Thank you, I don't know why it's so hard for people to understand this?

Nikka using Phoenix as an example, what's the Black population off Arizona? It ain't much, I'm pretty sure.

And also folks don't factor marketing, who is Schoolboy Q marketed to?
niccas are bugging in this thread

not going to shows is thee one thing you can definitely not accuse black people/fans of doing. it just depends on the artist/city and who they're marketed towards...that's it, it's not rocket science

in london, the crowds are an equal mix of everyone whether it be future, yg, schoolboy, wiz, ty$ whatever

The hood doesn't listen to Q
this is actually kind of true unless you're in LA or something. I don't know many people here on the east coast that are really bumping schoolboy q like that, he drew off the hypebeast crowd from ASAP Rocky, Danny Brown, and the white TDE fans. If you want a majority black crowd in DC or Baltimore it better be future, Gucci, yo Gotti, dolph, or someone local. Artists like ASAP, TDE, Vince Staples, are gonna draw hella white people. He'll even a guy like Freddie Gibbs goin draw a lot of white people (due to his recent work with madlib)

he doesn't.

he has joints here & there that people like, since hes on the radio & TV.

but he doesn't have a hood base.
look, i'm not gonna argue with yall...the fukkin "hood audience"...he gets play from black people here in cali where this concert was...so this is not the answer to OP.

also OP, you gotta look at where black people live in the bay (oakland, richmond, vallejo, pittsburg, antioch, etc.) young black kids aint about them drives to SF and San Jose (SJ especially since they have the most hater cops ever) and folks 28+ remember all the shootings/fights at concerts out here and don't really fukk with them. those old school rap concerts they had at the coliseum were almost all black tho...basically comes down to having them where black people aren't. you can do that for beyonce, you can't for schoolboy q. i live in oakland, 13 minutes to downtown SF with no traffic and i still didn't feel like dealing with the bridge

the Frisco shyt is true,i attend a fair deal of shows here and the only show i been to in the last few years that had at least 30-40%(maybe actually half)brovas twas the Scarface show at the Mezzanine, and sadly Facemob put on a short lackluster performance..i thought the Killa Cam show show a few months ago would have more but it twas not the case..a few years ago Mobb Deep&The Jacka had a show at the afore mentioned Mezzanine and it twas mobbed out, last time i seen that many brovas in a show for a loooooooooong time..

anyhow, what Tekken said about Frisco/gentrification is true,as for the phenomenon within itself i'll just let that one lay..:manny:
