If America pulled out of South Korea and Japan the Chinese would be all up in those countries it wouldn’t even be funny
China isn’t vying for power in either South Korea or Japan. Were China go exert power over Korea, it would be to push for reunification and recognition of the Juche government of North Korea, who is still a trading partner.

China’s imperialist ventures are largely completely fabricated by U.S. mainstream media to try and manufacture consent so that the American public will push for a war with China.

" Asanuma became a forceful advocate of socialism in post-war Japan. He was noted for his support of the Chinese Communist Party, and his criticism of U.S–Japanese relations, which were particularly controversial "

Asanuma got impaled by the young breh...young breh was against Asanuma support of Chinese communism.

Knowing human nature, i have no doubt that some people in Japan will be thirsty for revenge. It maybe a fringe movement, but i am sure there are groups itching for another go.

Germany lost Ww1 and basically started the second one as soon as they thought they were strong enough to win it and the first hint of economic upheaval hit them.

Thing is when things are going well, it is difficult for a crazy Politician to take over and manipulate public mood.

This is why South Africa is also such a worry. If things ever get really bad there, it will be so easy to turn on Whites.

That's not what really happened. It was actually Japan who made their economy so successful after WW2 by following a completely different logic from US finance. Then Americans got jealous and moved in to steal all the wealth. What was done to Japan by US ideologues in the 80s is the economic version of the dropping of the bombs in terms of depravity.

Watch this for the real story:

So the bank of japan ran a communism (textbook) style economy, but lied and said it was capitalist. Then in the 80s, they believed their own sauce and hit a wall in the 90s.This brought about the changes into true US capitalist economics.

This is really a thread onto itself. :ohhh:

I'm sure china want to seek revenge on japan tho. Both countries dislike eachother for some reasons way before ww2.

It's much more nefarious than that really. Neoliberal ideology started taking over in the US starting in the 70s and was in full effect in the 80s. The younger generation of Japanese economists who were educated in the US were brainwashed to believe that neoliberal greed is good and that it's possible to take all of a country's wealth for themselves.

They deliberately drew up plans and executed them to create a financial crisis in order to change the political mechanisms of running their economy so that they could implement neoliberal policies to benefit the elite. They circumvented democracy to change the economic and political landscape.

They basically started a war against their own people without the people realizing (at first) and they won. It was a takeover. This has been happening all around the world for the last 40 years, it's just that in Japan the shift seemed extra dramatic because they were doing so miraculously well before the takeover.

The documentary is based on the book by the same name. I recommend watching all of the interviews by its author Richard Werner (available on youtube). The guy's one of the best and realest economists you'll ever hear. It'll open your eyes to what is really going on with the economy and society.

He basically predicted a couple years ago (pre-corona) that central banks were going to manufacture or take advantage of another global crisis in order to further increase their powers.

It's human nature. We are a species with long memories. That's why I don't buy this notion that the Japanese have forgotten and forgiven the nuclear bombing.

You cannot have a system as evil as apartheid and end it with some half-hearted apologies like South Africa did with their truth and reconciliation commission. A minority of people thought Mandela sold out and wanted him to go further, especially with economic and land reforms. Right now, economic power still lies disproportionately with Whites, and if not dealt with firmly by the ANC, could be used by some more hardcore elements to cause serious problems in the future. All it takes is a firebrand Politician with some oratory skills and a bit of luck to pull this off.

This is exactly what happened in Zimbabwe on a much smaller scale. When Mugabe came into power, there were factions in his party that wanted him to begin land reforms (White farmers had stolen most of the best land) immediately.

Mugabe got caught up with the trappings of power and enjoyed the legitimacy of being a President too much to go against the West and he made a crucial mistake, in my book, of putting it off. He only got to it when there was a political and economic crisis. By that time it was done in such a terrible manner it benefited nobody.

No disrespect, but I do not disagree that the media fabricates and exaggerates to as you said, manufacture consent with propaganda for maintaining the US war machine, with China being the primary adversary to that end. However, I've noticed that a few people who are rightly skeptical of the agenda pushed by the media in conjunction with the military and intelligence agencies allow their skepticism to take on a way too optimistic view of China. China has stated that they wish to position itself as a major global power player with the goal being to topple the US as the perceived sole power and decision-maker in the world (I'm referencing a speech by what I believe was a diplomat not too long ago, I'd have to find the link). I'm not making a moral judgment on that idea but it doesn't point to a completely unambitious and self-concerned China. It is obvious that certain aspects of the Belt and Road initiative are to establish their presence outside of China and it is not strictly about trade partnerships and the debt traps they put on some countries are evidence of that.

You can have justifiable skepticism of US claims about China while still acknowledging that China is actively working on asserting itself on the world and its neighbors. They are reconciliable ideas. There is a reason why they constantly violate Japan's waters and Taiwan's airspace. There is a reason why they have increased their grip in Hong Kong earlier than the date where it would be completely handed over to China. There is a reason a lot of their Southeast Asian neighbors despise them. There is the reason why India is accusing them of "Salami Slicing" at the border. China is rightly viewed as hostile by its neighbors and these aren't neutral actions.
