Why don’t these white rappers do numbers like Em?

Because they're all garbage, including Eminem.
Only reason he blew up was because Dre realized he could capitalize on the middle-america 'i hate my mom' suburbanites if he put marshall over some actual beats.

Then after Dre made his money, Eminem fell the fukk off (not that he was ever good, unless you're into that whole 'i wanna kill my wife' shyt), but you still have these stans jocking him because they're weirdos. Guy has the charisma of a potato. Eminem made it cool to be a total douchebag, and then has the audacity to go after Trump as if he's not the person most singularly responsible for making that wave. He's like Howard Stern and George Bush; all dog shyt. :camby:

All I'm seeing is excuses. Eminem blew up and became successful because had him far more going for him than just being "white". Eminem came up in an era where controversy sold, shock value grabbed people's attention, the country was much less PC, and people still cared about skills.

When you couple that with the fact that he was signed to the same producer from NWA and broke acts like Snoop, it was a no brainers. He couldn't have been nowhere near successful anywhere else because Interscope sold controversial Hip Hop high on shock value regardless of what race the rapper was.

Then there's the fact that people say, well Eminem only disses Pop stars. That was clever. That allowed Eminem to tap into their bases. These were fans he wasn't going to get going after credible MC's. He dissed a Nas, DMX, or Jay Z, his stands to lose his Hip Hop fan base. He disses Nsync, Backstreet Boys, and Britney Spears, their fans get offensive, but are intrigued at why he's dissing them. They see the videos on MTV and are entertained. They hear the music and hear the rebellion, which is one of the biggest reasons white folk like Hip Hop (its rebellious or at least once was). So they leave the teeny bopper Pop in the dust and grow up on Eminem. This is the sector of fans that think Em is GOAT because they've only been exposed to rap via MTV.

No other white rapper has done this with the platform Eminem has.

Eminem came out at precisely the perfect time for a rapper with his style and image. Late 90s where Nu-Metal, daytime TV, South Park and pro wrestling were huge. Cacs were on that trashy shock value tip that Em played into perfectly, and there was still room for a super lyrical rapper.

It's all about the machine that was behind Em. Guys like Paul Wall should've been doing numbers like Em, or at least somewhat decent numbers. Em tried it with Yelawolf but after that confederate flag shyt happened it turned off a lot of people and i don't blame them. He then tried to back peddle defending that flag.

Em was the first to be THAT good and back then, he was THAT good, while being co-signed by black rappers. So it was a much bigger deal than white rappers just following a Good/Platinum formula.

I wouldn't say Future is the benchmark for that dichotomy breh
