The Assad regime is fighting to keep him in power. If Assad is dead what is there to fight for? Also a power vacuum opens that will lead to internal dissent. It's not like Al Qaeda where there's a next in line. Assad has no immediate successor. Also, you cut the head off the snake to stop it. Killing the leader also lowers morale and causes confusion
Let's not forget the lives we'll save by killing someone who uses chemical weapons on kids

Once America locks in on one of these dictators it's just a matter of time. Assad is a dead man walking. He has got to know this.

isis will continue fighting for further control. They flourished in the vacuum produced in iraq, what makes you think one in syria will slow them down? Also how long has nato been 'targeting' isis? That intervention hasn't even dented their influence

once assad is gone the west will just focus on iran. Did we stop at afghanistan? libya? Lebanon? Iraq? Nope, it's not that simple.

See how quickly we pledged boots on the ground in syria after russia actually started hitting isis? And do you think russia is gonna stand by and let the gulf build their gas lines to europe, and cut their russian dependance? Relying on russian natural gas is the main reason russia is still functioning, and they won't be willing to just roll over and accept this fate.

We prop up numerous dictators, hand out chemical weapons like candy, raise towns with arial strikes and leave millions of families in the middle of lawless conflict zones breh. Dont start all that shyt, stick to the facts. If we cared about human rights we would be intervening in the middle of saudi or qatar, not taking out a country thats restricting gulf control over the region

Killing Assad will be considered a short term victory for Isis but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be done. Assad has to go, it's just about how messy it's gonna be. Once Assad is dead we can focus on Isis.
I don't understand your other arguments. What's Russia gonna do if we kill Assad? Fukk em

Sometimes the US does the right things for the wrong reasons and that's ok.

You're devoting way too much energy to this topic. Just rate the thread one-star and keep it moving.
