Why don't we talk about specifically black eating disorders?

There's been a trend of black mental health in the last few years.but our kids and adults suffer from eating disorders that limit us from being our best selves (for those of us in bad situations). This applies to all people, it's food...

But if I say "eating disorder" what comes to mind as the image? Probably someone privileged.

Anyone have any stats or info that we could use? Literally asking for food for thought lol.

:aicmon: we suffer from obesity but that's not an eating disorder? And that's just one facet of the topic.
Gyms are typically 20 dollars a month or less and literally everything in the grocery store has their nutritional value written on it. No excuse for a young black person to be obess in 2022.

Many of us have been programmed to eat excessively since birth though. If youve been taught to eat everytime your hungry its hard to go back. Luckily i grew up poor and id be lucky to eat 3 times a day. People need to stop eating so much and more importantly so many times. We have to retrain our hunger which is very difficult
