JB was from Belvedere, SC. My grandfather, whose mama’s people were from North Augusta and Aiken, used to play football in the dirt with him back when they were jits. They stayed in contact and he would visit him when he was on tour in Chicago.

Why so many east coast nikkas built up this imaginary tale of everybody in the south hating on them. We show the most love to everybody.

Unless I’m wrong, it’s people from the east coast that are moving down south and have been strongly since the 90s. We are not moving up there in large numbers at all… we not trying to live up there…Not that it’s anything wrong with the east coast either. We don’t even hate on neighboring states. Georgia don’t hate on dudes from Florida or Alabama or Louisiana or some shyt. We don’t care…We listen to East and west coast music..My whole family is from NY and NJ. When I go up there its down south joke this and down south that. It was all good. A lot of it is funny. I’m from Atlanta anyway. But when they come down to Georgia, nobody be having nothing negative to say. We don’t have that attitude of we better than other people because we from the south. It’s them that out of absolutely nowhere start talking about they from up north when nobody even asked.

Born and raised in Detroit, I used to work security at the Marriott inside of General Motors World Headquarters, I used to meet people from everywhere, southern brothers are really laid back, they used to always tell me how much they enjoyed Detroit and would visit more or even consider relocating...if it wasnt so cold. My wife has family from New Jersey,Brooklyn and Queens, none of them have ever tried to act hard nor have they tried to act like their neighborhoods were dangerous, etc. I have family from Arkansas and Alabama and when they come to Michigan they have never did the tough guy act either.
