There's no time limit on when you need to respond.

Back in the day this was true...But with the internet the game done changed .. You have the technology and resources to respond immediately.. Plus the expectation from an audience that was raised in a microwave generation dominated by 24 hour news cycles...

When Lil B responded with a surprisingly decent Joe Budden diss record 24 hours after their Twitter beef, I realized a new standard had been set... Meek is playing by old rules and is losing terribly right now... Whoever is managing or advising him should be fired...He should be enjoying and celebrating his most successful summer ever.. Instead he's coming close to getting Rachel Dolezaled....

Not everyone has to drop shyt straight away, maybe he has a project he wants to promote or something so wants to drop it at the right moment, maybe he's busy touring. Artists aren't slaves to drop straight away for people, at least give him a few weeks...

he thought taking the troy ave approach was going to work and it failed.
talk a whole bunch of shyt and then when the battle comes.
say some bullshyt on twitter and in interview content wise that only a clown says.

nikka totally underestimated what happens when you go against soomeone foreign and how much more they study the culture to do what you get to do state side.
Canadians on the net 24/7 in cafe's.
selling pounds of weed and learning about hip hop all day.
if, they get as much payola and pr as any mainstream domestic artist they can take advantage and if you not skilled enough.
they just may do what drake did.

I think battle rap is harder. You in each others faces and on the spot the whole time. Drake wouldn't be able to get into a snaps battle, let alone a rap battle.

#3) Meek was raised through rap battles, Drake was not
#4) It used to take a year for a beef track to drop to hype an album, with social media you have 24 hour time limits or someshyt. (Lets not forget Nas took almost 2 months to drop ether)

Freestyling is very different from writing a battle track, it's a different element, to write any song the time can vary, I have a friend who took 16 hours to write 2 verses recently. Some people bang them out in 20 mins, I don't know what Meek does but he is an active individual, he probably has other obligations so to write him off after a day or 2 seems odd...

Which takes seconds or minutes, writing then recording and then someone mixing and mastering takes longer, Drake's lucky he doesn't have to do the writing part....
