What you just posted essentially validates my point... and I actually know a few millionaires since they are family to my friends. You just went off to point that the A+ types are employees, and I don't disagree with you there. The people that I am talking about, none of them have a bachelors. They all own their own businesses. What they do have in lieu of formal education is an uncommon level of dedication and hustle and they are extremely headstrong and do things 'their way.' In the typical school structure, they'd get docked off points because they might get bored or wouldn't care to do things the way school wants them to do it, and hence get marked down for their lack of obedience. For the average person, school is a great way to get some sort of stable income, hence being an employee, but nowadays, you have to watch out how much debt you get put in as well.
:snoop: Look, this stuff has nothing to do with this thread so let's get back on the topic please. The HL rules about the OP being able to tell people to stay on the subject of their thread.....I did so once already respectfully.

If you insist on continuing this topic, make a new thread and I'll move these posts in there.

The richest people I know were never really 'great students.' They were maybe b or c students. The A students are the 'best employees'. Those who actually own the businesses didn't always do well in school, probably because the essence of modern American schooling is to produce employees and not to teach people how to think for themselves or do things for themselves.
Exactly like those honor kids in high school didn't know how to cook a meal but they knew the formula for photosynthesis

Tbh, you're OG topic is pretty cut and dry. I don't see who would argue that giving a pretest of info you should know come time of the final would be a bad thing?

It's an entirely different way of thinking though. It's literally giving you an idea of everything you will have to know so that people have an idea of how everything fits together and what they know and don't know. Imagine teaching a class on race issues and asking multiple choice questions like these...it would force people to actually go beyond their biases to be engaged from the very beginning.
