A black female that I have so much respect for her over than Tiffany Haddish is Issa Rae

th

Why? cause she's an actress, writer, director, producer, and web series creator and has her own show that she's creating, co-writing, and starring in the HBO television series called "Insecure". One of the great HBO series. That's more power to her than Tiffany Haddish.

Tiffany just doing what the Hollywood wants her to do, doing buffoonery, trending, just to pushing $$$ for Hollywood then few years later they would throw her in bushes if she's fell off or people get tired of her.

Lol we all know she is behind Insecure which is great but Awkward Black Girl was/is better imo.

Issa is a legend in the making. She made BlackNSexyTV the GOAT YouTube channel. Once she left bc the creators of that channel was on that b/s, their quality tanked and her on YouTube Channel has great content

That wasn’t Issa your thinking of Jeanine Daniels. The one who created That Guy.

Yea Jeanine did that Guy but i remember Issa doing a lot of writing and/or producing their earlier content like The Number and stuff but i heard their was a falling out so she went her own way. Same shyt with Jeanine which is why they never aired the series finale of That Guy (shyt was GOAT too :to:)

people feel like she's getting opportunities because she's an extreme stereotype.

it's no different than bm being upset at emasculated bm getting shine

i don't mind her but do wish she'd tone it down.

She's got unbelievable upside as an entertainer. I watched a lot of her old stuff from when she was at Laugh Factory and all that. As goofy as she acts, she's actually pretty sharp and has that grind and humility where you can see she's willing to put in the work to never struggle again.

At least, that's what I gather from the story she tells in her special (I know it's a set) but she carries that vibe. Could definitely see her pulling off a serious role a la Mo'Nique in "Precious" or carrying a solo comedy like McCarthy. She's a show away from occupying the spot Schumer had.

Out here in my damn drawls
I don't know about any recent stuff except for her using false abuse allegations to sell a book

I just don’t like how she lied on her ex husband. False domestic abuse accusations can destroy a man, let alone a black man.

This
I don't have any strong feelings towards her, but this was a bad look

She's cute, but I don't find her funny

Do these women hate Tiffany because she's repping her father's culture or something?

And here i thought Black Panther did its job to bring all blacks of the diaspora and continent to understand one another. Seems like the opposite has happened.

:comeon:

People dislike her shtick because it's based on nothing but playing up negative stereotypes to the extreme. And it's not just women who don't care for it (literally nothing in this thread but wild conjecture ever said as much) but no one is "hating" and it has nothing to do with her repping whatever lineage.

They are obviously displeased that she won’t learn how to act ... amongst certain individuals
:mjpls:

They are probably wondering why she wasn’t taught to be less “embarrassing”
:mjpls:

Okay but how many more "wine auntie" types do we really need to see? You really think we needed more "loud black women" to be the face of Black Hollywood? You think she's getting this kind of push from the industry because they genuinely adore her and find her to be a comedic genius? You think pushing that is in our best interests?

Like I said in an earlier post, you've got white industry types out here praising her for being "so real" and "authentic". Hmm, I wonder why that is...

Funny how you never hear them saying that about poised, elegant black women, or black people for that matter. You never see them taking a well-spoken, intelligent black man and praising him for "keeping it real" and "being himself". Why? Because they genuinely believe that when we aren't being loud or obnoxious and acting a fool we're "putting on airs" or think we're "better than" somebody else.

But that's okay. I recognize a lot of y'all who see nothing wrong with her now will find all kinds of things "problematic" about her and her behavior if she ends up with the ultimate white zaddy next year.
